On a side note, hearing some interesting observations of Ohio State fans from the returning Vols around here. It seems the antipathy many Gator fans have for Buckeyes will now resonate with Vols. It would seem the Buckeyes made quite the negative impression. Truth: I live here among these unwashed Vols and admit I was enjoying their humiliation on the field. But to have it come at the hands of those people felt ... bad for enjoying their defeat. But ultimately, I did.
This might be one big unintended consequence of the NCAA's home team bracket round. Miserably cold weather conditions vice the generally warm southern bowl games that we are used to historically. This would kinda be like scheduling Super Bowls in Green Bay or Buffalo.
Yes. It had never happened before. Then the Bucs at Raymond James in 2020. And strangely enough, the Rams in SoFi in 2021.
Green Bay or Buffalo can get way worse than that. I'm not against playing in 30° but sometimes it gets quite ridiculous.
I had Alabama as the one team out that I thought should be in. After listening to a podcast about the playoffs, I've changed my mind on Bama. Quality of losses count too. When you get beat by Vandy, after Vandy got beat by Georgia State, and a poor Oklahoma team. You didn’t take care of business. No complaining about not making the playoffs.

I sure hope it's not Texas vs Georgia for the 3rd time this year. I have no idea who it will be, but Ohio State has the highest payroll. When I don't have a dog in the hunt I almost always pull for the underdogs, so Boise St. vs Arizona St. would be what I hope for. Fat chance of that happening, though.
I hate Georgia the most or Florida State, the most or Tennessee the most but everybody else in the playoffs getting beat by Arizona State and Boise would be freaking hilarious
