Guys do you think Spurrier would serve as an interim for 2024? Atleast that would get the players and fan base excited and then start targeting a new guy to be in place after 11 more games?

Interim would come from within. Same thing we saw with Strong, Durkin, Shannon, and Knox when their bosses were fired.

No. Living in the past and chasing Saban’s ghost has gotten us to this point. UF needs an enema.

Spot on. There is ZERO energy around Gator football at the moment.

Get the Computer Science guys to create a LLM (Large Language Model) to coach the team the rest of the season. You can even give it a catchy name like SOS. We'll be lauded for our academics while our team struggles; so, basically the same as now, but with more press coverage.

    I'm kidding. Sort of.

Spurrier is in his late 70's. I am not sure if he is up to putting in the long days and the stress that goes with this position.

In another thread, I suggested that Spurrier be bought in as the head of football operations. In other words run the program and watch the game from the booth up stairs.
Let him get an interim HBC from either the inside or outside of the program. He knows a lot of people that might want to take on this sinking ship for at least the rest of the season.
Sprurrier's personality, leadership skills, would put the current coaching on notice and perhaps the same page. Also, his presence in the locker room and on the practice field will inspire a lot of the players.
