    Typing as I *%$#! listing . . . .

Tough one. I apologize . . . I apologize to the faithful who came out. . . and most of them actually stayed. It wasn't a good performance. It was a really, really tough night. We got outplayed, outcoached and out-toughed. They were aggressor in every category. We had some open looks, but couldn't get stops and couldn't get out in transition.

Our energy level, especially on the glass was bad. We fell for every shot fake, we got burnt on back door several times. we got out of stance, our late shot defense not good, we had one-handed efforts on loose balls. We have a lot talking to do tomorrow

We only took a couple really bad shots, but they defended well and we couldn't get it to go. But they were really good. Once you get off to such a start where you are so far off your character....getting back to our identity ... we were so so detached- its hard to get it back. We were totally disjointed. Our culture wasn't very good and it has been terrific all year. We have a lot of talking to do tonite as a staff.

While I am glad he seems to get it, They had a lot of talking to do two games ago, this is what happens when you don’t addresss obvious issues.

Appreciate his candor, but I feel like I have Mike White PTSD.

Really hope this is an outlier for this years team, and not another connecting data point over the years..

CMW sees the problem, but two games in a row & for the umpteenth time in 7 years, it's still happening...
    "out-toughed"
    "They were aggressor"
    "energy level was bad"

Wasn't a good performance is a huge understatement. This is a senior laden team that didn't show up and showed no ability other than McKissic to keep playing. Fleming was terrible tonight. Duruji had no energy and Appleby was a no show as well. CC got owned on the boards and wants to play in the NBA. How exactly is a talk turning it around and where was the halftime speech to motivate the team in the 2nd half because it was non-existent?

He’s incapable of addressing a problem that continually arises under his watch.

Sounds like lessons were not learned from last game. Poor shooting, poor rebounding and allowing so many backdoor cut baskets. Tonight it looked as if this team took for granted all they needed to do was show up against an 0-7 team. Team was flat and almost zero adjustments. Team looked a lot like last years team of helter skelter one on one dribble play. This was hard to watch and I turned it off with ten minutes to play.

he just doesn’t know how to motivate his players beyond what they bring themselves..

today they didn’t feel up to it, and there was nothing he could do..

Maybe MW feels like DM, kids don't need motivation, they should want to play and be self motivated. Hopefully the team will bounce back.

Yep. And what does “we got out of our culture tonight.” mean? WTH? Is that a new stat? Cultures-blocked

What's concerning is this is a senior-laden team. By now, they should be running themselves with no supervision, not look like a team of 1st years.

Guys, this is what happens when your team isn’t very talented. The same thing happened to the football team. We almost beat Alabama early and everyone thought we were great and would play them again in the SEC championship game. Then we lose to mizzou and South Carolina. Talent deficiencies may not show up immediately but they always do over the long haul. The portal will not save us as much as many want to believe it can.

By White saying that “we have a lot of talking to do tonight as a staff” tells me that he is at a loss for what needs to be done to right the ship and is hoping someone else can suggest something to try. Folks, is this the best that 3 million a season can buy? I’m sorry but I can’t believe it is.

BD's teams sometimes showed up flat and disinterested. But he didn't let the problem go all game long. I remember him calling a first-half timeout and blistering them all and then breaking the clipboard across his knee in the huddle. Problem solved.
