I wanted to post something about Graham becoming a Graduate Assistant and getting into coaching, so I looked up his major. I think he has the Football IQ and the motivational acuity to make a good coach. He could definitely help quarterbacks, possibly some other areas in the offense to start. DJ mentions all the time how much Graham has helped him develop. I didn't realize he has something of a Business/Marketing/ PR type degree. Would love to see him get into coaching and make his way back to Florida in the future. The guy seems to be ALL GATOR and has great communication skills, really like his personality in all the interviews I've seen.
Thanks! I tweaked the title so more would understand. If you don't like it, please change it back or tell me and I will.
I had a similar thought watching the LSU game when they showed Mertz on the sideline in civvies. There has been much discussion in different corners about Mertz’ support for DJ. I would think that it stretches to others on the team. My thought was that I would like to see Graham stick around another year to continue with the coaching and camaraderie he evidently is providing.
I started this thread as I was thinking about Mertz and his contributions to the Gators. Then I began thinking about his draft outlook and I don't think he gets drafted unless very late on Day 3. I have no idea what his career goals are but from what I can see he would be a natural in coaching. He has been fun to follow and has done a lot of great things as a Gator. I'm gonna miss him!
Wish I could be there. Most of all my wish is that DJ remains healthy throughout the season and that in 2025 a new era of Gator Football emerges. The foundation has been laid, let it unfold!
