Does he still have family living there? His parents had relocated there years ago when he was coaching at UF.

 

The best coach in UF history. Great for him to show support for Coach Golden and coming back home. Championship caliber coach and even better person!

Speaking of BD Sr my wife and I a number of years ago were flying Southwest out of JAX and when we got on the shuttle bus from long term parking we ran into BD Sr. We were all going to Chicago on the same flight. My wife and I were going to see family and BD Sr was going to see his son coach the Thunder against the Bulls. I kind of figured that.

We asked if he could get us tickets and he laughed.

 

seems pretty good to me! I think I have about a dozen.

 

TBF, he’s not very active on there yet.

 

I mean I somehow have 1400 between two accounts and I'm an idiot that has maxed out coaching some 10 year olds.

Frankly, it doesnt speak well for our fanbase imo.

 

I hope this is the reason and it isnt a sign of apathy in the base.

 

I thought I read that Billy D dad still lived in Gainesville...

 

Makes sense. It would be a great place to retire to. I'm sure he told Billy, "Nah, not really excited about the prospect of moving to Tulsa."

 

Well, I follow the Gators religiously but I don't follow our coaches on Twitter. Doesn't make me an apathetic fan.

 

I think Billy D considers Gainesville home..probably will settle back there when he gets tired of the nba

 

Agree..I am an avid, die hard Gator..follow all sports etc...but I don't do twitter
