I don't think he's a strong candidate, but you never know in 2024, with Biden in his 80's and an unstable group of Republicans.

He can get nasty which people will, likely correctly, intuit to be related to his obesity. And his record in New Jersey won't be popular. He is pro immigrant and has at least has made some anti-gun statements. I can't see him showing up in military towns and generating much excitement. His big selling point is forcing state workers to accept less money, which isn't a popular issue nationally.

Wrong analogy, try the Weimar Republic and Adolf Hitler.

While Christie has no chance of winning the Republican nomination attacks on Trump from him and probably Asa Hutchinson during the Republican primary campaign could sway Republican leaning independents and unaffiliated voters come the general election. Interestingly, both Christie and Hutchinson are both former US Attorneys who actually prosecuted criminals although admittedly he did play fast and loose with the law as governor of New Jersey, bridgegate coming immediately to mind.

Which supposedly is the reason why he wasn't appointed to a position in the Trump Administration. Jared apparently vetoed any possibility of a Christie appointment.

He is the attack dog for sure. A bunch of truth bombs, but doesn’t have the audience laughing with quips, so no chance.

On the other hand, Christie is somewhat sane.

Sean Hannity says Chris Christie has gone “full-on – you know, woke”

The “faith conferences” have not looked to good the past decade. Never show folks behind the curtain.

Well, he's good at closing traffic, which would certainly help control the border.

Supporters of faith and freedom supporting Trump? Is that oxymoronic or what?
