If Trump supporters could take over the Capitol building, what would stop them from taking over the Supreme Court building? Maybe bring a few zip ties, and capture a few justices. And if any of them died during the proceedings, then Trump would appoint new justices, approved by whoever was left in Congress and not bound and gagged. Trump attempting to seize power is not that different than Hitler seizing power in Germany, if you look what could have happened if Trump's supporters had brought more weapons.

more weapons? You mean some weapons. I believe 3 people were arrested for having a gun on Jan 6. 2 were on the massive grounds, and 1 had a gun in his car. No evidence anyone had a gun in the capital except for law enforcement. There was dude skipping around the hallways with a Bison helmet. I guess he could have gorged Pelosi. If something new has been claimed post a link. My knowledge of that facts are over a year old.

unless a brick and mortar building decides who’s POTUS, then who cares who has the key. The rest of your tin foil conspiracy stuff and Nazi tropes are ridiculous.

No. Try reading first before commenting. If you do, you might actually learn something, like how even after the counts and recounts were finished, and majority of court cases decided, instead of conceding, Trump attempted an illegal coup attempt with an insurrection and fake electors.

I didn't know that Trump paid a whore hush money, although I wouldn't doubt it. I know he's indicted for paying hush money to a porn star, who he later referred to as "Horse Face." Yet he claims that the Carroll woman he defamed isn't his type. Actually it wouldn't surprised me if Trump has had sex with horses (apparently his type). Maybe that's what Putin has on him. Putin introduced Trump to one of his horses.

I have it on Good authority that Trump did not sleep with Hillary, so we can shut that one down.

BTW..isn’t a porn star, by definition, a whore? (Unless she is doing some pro bono boning)

I'll ask a porn star what she thinks during our next love scene. (I'm not paying her for the sex, so she'll probably say it's a boneheaded question. "Cut! That's a take.... Cut!")

Some interesting bits in this NYT piece:
    - GOP advantage in the electoral college is shrinking a bit
    - the left/right racial divide is narrowing a bit. Whites are still primarily GOP and people of color are primarily Democratic, but whites are moving a bit to the left and POC to the right. A little.

Have you read the indictments yet? Insurrection, recount, and coup are my interpretation of the events. Maybe you can read the indictments and explain to me why I'm wrong? Rather than just say those 3 words aren't in the indictment!

I think I recognize the problem in your response above. You use the word indictments, plural. I asked you what you expected me to find in the New York indictment. The New York indictment alleges Trump made payments to a whore. I’m not really sure what that has to do with the election. In response to my question, you answered insurrection. My guess is you didn’t read my response carefully and were referring to the Georgia indictment? I don’t know. In any event, it seems to be an innocent mixup. No worries.

The New York indictment has nothing to do with J6, the insurrection, or Trump's attempt to illegally overturn the election. The indictments I'm referring to are the Federal and Georgia ones.

Here's the Federal indictment, where Trump is charged with:
    • Conspiracy to defraud the US
    • Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding
    • Obstruction and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding
    • Conspiracy against rights
Here's the Georgia indictment. Lot more charges here, highlighted by:
    • Violation of Georgia RICO Act
    • False statements and writings
    • Forgery in the first degree
    • Conspiracy to defraud the state
Read these, and maybe we can have an intelligent discussion about Trump's refusal to accept defeat, despite losing the election. The reality was, by Jan 5, all counting was done, and Trump had exhausted 99% of all legal avenues to seek relief with no success. He should have conceded, having by your own admission, no legal avenues to actually win. But did he? No. Read the indictments, and you'll find out about all about the J6 insurrection (or seditious conspiracy) and the unlawful, fake elector scheme.

Look. you and others get all caught up in the words and charges in the indictment. Its not what the government alleges, it is what it can prove....and in this case, is what they can prove an actual crime. Grand juries indict 99.99% of the time. If you live in Florida for example, you could get indicted for a crime in New York, even though you have never been to New York. Does it mean you are guilty? Far from it, but no one defended you in the Grand Jury. Because of the lowest of standards and proofs primarly due to the proceedure involved, indictments do not mean a lot. Remember, you can indict a ham sandwich.

    Indictment of a Ham Sandwich.

Yeah because when the feds indict a former president they aren't going to have him dead to rights before doing so.

You are used to a different standard handling mostly slip and falls.
