Women's qualifying scores at Paris Olympics:

USA Women's Gymnastics Event Results at PAris Olympics - Search (bing.com)

Advancing to All-Around are Simone Biles and Suni Lee. If not for the Olympics rule that only two gymnasts per country can advance to All-Around, Jordan Chiles would have advanced too.

The four events will have individual winners as well. So far, scoring has been difficult to find pertaining to who advanced and who did not advance.

Leanne Wong and Joscelyn Roberson are both in Paris as traveling non-performing alternates. Biles has a hurt left calf but is able to perform. Jade Carey has been feeling sick the last few days. She was less than her best on her signature event, floor, doing uncharacteristically poorly. Maybe she should have given way to Wong or Roberson. When your best isn't good enough, that is what the alternates are there for. Insofar as the team is concerned, no harm is no foul as the US leads by a wide margin and no other team in Paris can catch team USA, so it looks like a Gold Medal for Team USA.

I just can't get into the Olympics. Too much wokeness, transgederism, Americans competing for other countries, men competing as women, Clark getting left off the women's BB team because she's a white Christian, idiot Lebron James carrying the flag, etc., etc. I just don't care. It's sad and pathetic.

Fencing is under the spotlight now. Three Americans lost matches and it appears the fix was in. I tried to watch fencing but had to turn it as the replay judges were awful. Supposedly, it is being looked into, but I doubt anything comes of it.

At this point, I just hope all at the games gets home safely, including the athletes and particularly the Israeli team that is living under constant antisemitism and threat of death.

Sad for you maybe, not the rest of us. I'm watching the Olympics off and on, don't really care about the individual's politics. They're repping the US, so I'm rooting for them.

At this rate some of you guys won't have any sports left to watch, no NFL, no NBA, no MLB, no Olympics, no college football, etc etc.

So who is us? 3 people liked what I said and you and 1 other took exception. Politics and wokeism have no place in sports, IMO. You have your opinion - fine. Just don't act like you speak for everybody else because you don't. This is a board for opinions. I spoke mine - you expressed yours. Many of the athletes competing in the Olympics have expressed their disdain for America and what it stands for. That cannot be disputed. I don't root for those people, nor do I condone or support the insane transgenderism, satanism, men playing women's sports and all the other PC crap that is constantly being shoved down our throats by the media and the entertainment/sports industry that thinks they can tell us what and how to believe and expect us to celebrate perversion. It is sad and truly pathetic to see our once great country descending into the awful state we're in.

I only watched a little bit of the opening. Enough to see that they were celebrating perversion - then I turned it off. Not offended, just saddened and angered a little.

The women won gold while the men won bronze, the men's first medal since 2008.

The all-around and the individual events will play out over the remainder of the week.

I hope the guy doesn't kill the girl. All it will take is one punch the female is not accustomed to.

It would serve the Olympics committee justice if all of the female boxers came together to boycott all of the fights until the males are removed from female competition. Last I looked there will be 2 males fighting females.

These crazy leftists will do anything to advance their principles even if someone is killed in the process, in this case females who participate in these fights.

Lot of BS in that post but you do you.

Bottom line is that you as a long time poster should know that politics isn't supposed to be allowed in this forum but that mods have let you get away with it twice now. Try sticking to sports and we will be fine. I couldn't care less about your and ET1's politics.
