Wong, ranked third in nation on bars gets a 9.95! It’s about time judges!

 

IMO, our vault scores were fair. We’ve performed beautifully on bars…good enough to get back into contention…but the judges have pretty much taken us out of it

 

So why because she was a former judge are they so harsh then?

Probably a bunch of jealous no-talents who couldn't become HCs. LOL

 

Disagree. If you watch our girls on the bars, they're rushing and not holding their positions long enough when vertical. That's what drops their scores slightly, not the landings. Draser and Wong held beautifully and got rewarded for that. I think the judges are doing fine. We've just underperformed as a team so far, especially on the vault.

 

We're only .288 out of first place. If we had performed like we have all year on the vault, we would be right there with LSU.

 

Probably...I think she's done a great job....this was not supposed to be our best team since Kayla took a gap year and I think Sloane's sister too..and lots of freshmen performed this year..competing in the final 4 is a testament, to her great coaching
I would hate bias judging playing a part since it's the girls put their heart and souls into the team..they work so hard...

 

I agree with all you said except I don;t see any biased judging.

 

Let’s hope we can get through beam clean to have a chance to kill it on floor!

 

So, at this point in the meet. Just throw caution to the wind and perform loose. Have some fun. Good things might happen. Like slipping into second place by a whisker.

All judging in gymnastics is subjective..not like the other sports..it based on individual opinions...I love the sport..but the scoring in my opinion is not consistent..

Pilgrim with a couple slight balance checks but solid performance. I’m guessing a 9.80

 

Pilgrim gets a 9.875. I’m beginning to warm up to these judges!
