    First 3 on the Bars are good, but not great scores. 2 9.875's and a 9.850.

    Yep - Utah is not going to catch us, but Missouri just had a fall off the beam and a 9.775, so the Utes will probably finish 2nd.

    Can't have any team getting up close to Oklahoma's inflated scores, I guess. :)

    Gymnastics is a weird sport. You need your team to peak at the end and there seems to be a delicate way to manage that with such a long season.

    Sometimes your worst is followed by your best. Rhonda Faehn always said you want to have all your problems in prelims.

    Regionals is especially nerve wracking. I recall in 2005 Georgia barely qualified to nationals in 12th place and then won it all.

    To have this team put up an Oklahoma type score today represents a superb coaching job.

    Think about this bars lineup for next year: Blakely Blakely DiCello Wong McCusker Pilgrim. You can win a world championship with thar lineup.

    The SEC teams have done well....just not all the the one's expected.

    Arkansas edged out Kentucky, but LSU, Florida, and Alabama were expected. The final 8 by conference:

    SEC - 4
    PAC 12 - 3
    Big 12 - 1

    What wasn't expected are Stanford taking Denver's slot and Arkansas taking Kentucky's slot.

    I thought the first 3 bars were 9.90. I was sitting there thinking these judges just aren't going to give UF the scores they deserved. I looked after the meet and the judges didn't score any team well. UF won bars with 49.500. Of course, Utah screwed up by counting a fall.

    Leanne was performing her typical 9.95+ score until her dismount. When she got to the end of the beam, her feet landed half on and half off the beam. She was fortunate to actually land the dismount instead of having a fall. She may have had a 10.0 going until that happened. It was just an unusual occurrence.

    The SEC screwed CJR when she was not named the SEC Coach of the Year.

    I can't yet wrap my head around just how good UF is going to be in 2025. The opportunity to win another national championship is a distinct possibility. Of course, with 2 more meets similar to the Gainesville regional final only better and we could unexpectedly be fighting for the national championship this season.
