Climate Lockdowns

I'm not dogging anyone or advocating one way or the other on lock downs. I'm just spoofing laymen who think they know more than experts, as well as those who don't take climate change seriously.

 

More of the former, the main reason is to make use of the Defense Production Act and order construction of various renewable energy projects. I suppose you could also halt drilling and curb oil exports, but that part seems less likely (because its more likely to be disruptive to people and result in backlash).

 

That's a dicey prospect even if I can understand the want of using emergency powers in that way.

After all, as you know, climate change isn't real or even if it is, humans haven't contributed to it so we shouldn't try to do anything about it!

 

We should double down on how much carbon we are pumping into the atmosphere to own da libs

 

Nah...let's just tie an anvil around our scrotum, to let the chicoms catch up to us...it's just not fair that we have so much power.

...and of course when the chicoms, ruskies, Indians, Brazilians, et. al. see us dragging our nuts on the ground, they'll foller our lead, anvil their own nuts, out of one world kumbayaness, and join us in saving the world!

...and all it'll cost us, is our freedom.

Bc ya know, we can trust out benevolent gubmnt oberlords to treat us fairly.
