Which POTUS turned over said documents to the National Archives the moment they were discovered? Which POTUS stonewalled the National Archives, finally agreed to turn all the materials back, but only returned half, lied about still having the documents he didn't return, and stonewalled the NA again when they asked for full compliance?

On the other hand, one of the many differences is that in one case the documents were turned over to the National Archives immediately upon discovery while in the other case the FBI had to obtain a search warrant citing in the Espionage Act as authority to recover documents apparently intentionally concealed. I guess you can point out that in Trump's case he retroactively declassified the documents with his mind unlike Biden.

Republicans: Trump doesn’t have to turn over confidential documents, since he declassified them in his head and it’s ok he refused to turn them over.

Republicans also: Biden should turn over classified documents and be hung, shot, and quartered.

 

I don't believe anyone is arguing that there are not differences, just that there are similarities and you guys can't admit that.

 

Biden should have returned the docs before leaving the office. He made a mistake. It happens. And generally, when it comes to classified docs, for civilians, when mistakes like this are made, the DOJ looks at intent, cooperation, and any damage when deciding to charge or not. With Biden, no intent, full cooperation, and potential damage is still being assessed. With Trump? Intent in question, almost no cooperation whatsoever, and damage is still TBD. Intent is in question because he refused to cooperate and turn over the documents for 14 months, while lying about the fact he still had them.

If laws were broken (regardless of if there is an R or D behind their name), investigate. Take further action as warranted per the law.

Do we know that Biden didn't take these documents intentionally? Do we know what was in these docs, he may have wanted to keep them from the Trump administration?
We do not know as of yet, and now we find out that another batch of classified docs have been found!!! Before you all claim Biden to be lily white in this, might be prudent to let this play out. He has proven in past statements, that he is not always truthful.

 

No the only thing we know is one person turned theirs in while the other tried to cover up, lie and make excuses for not turning theirs in. Investigate them both.
