Isn't 24/7 a consensus ranking?

 

They have their own rankings in addition to the consensus.

Dave Waters pointed out that Stokes is kind of in a loophole on Rivals and ESPN and it’s affecting his consensus— he has top ten QB rankings but doesn’t have a placement in the overall rankings on those cites. So those don’t get factored into his On3 or 247 consensus.

Once they are he’ll shoot up the list

Depends on what happens with guys like McClain and LeBlanc. We need to land some Top100 guys.

One of the guys on the premium side said that if you look at the individual scores only of who has committed, Florida is #12 right now. I haven't verified it though.

 

Probably depends on the site. I think he is right around 150 in the 247 Composite. He is super solid and a big get. We are probably going to need a overall average between .9200 and .9300. I think it is also possible to have a class around 12 but is still an improvement to Mullen’s classes that is in that .9200 average rather than .9000

 

Add a couple of 5 star guys and UF will be a top 10 class. Where? I don't care. I'd take all 4 stars the rest of the way and be happy all of the way to the bank.

 

Especially since most are from FLA and all in our footprint. How many coaches have you seen come in and say they're going to retake their state and do it? In the first year?! IMG included!

NIL aside, we are watching a master class in recruiting.

 

Of course dude - it’s freaking July

 

If anything this last week should show us that freaking out about recruiting in July is premature. Obviously, we still have a long way to go and the results of this season could help/hurt us but we, as fans, just need to let the process play out. Thankfully, I think it's the minority that freaks out. Unfortunately, it's a vocal minority.

 

UF has gained very needed momentum now. The ship is righted. Obviously getting McClain to commit soon would be a huge help. A ton of good ones are still out there and who knows what will happen early signing day, especially when the auction gets hot in the last 2-3 days before then. I'm still a bit uncertain what a verbal means now but it certainly helps our psyche for kids to verbal to us.

 

You make a big point man - all we're dealing with right now is verbals. People pissed at UF for not getting caught up in the absurd amounts of money being thrown at these kids need to keep one thing in mind: UF, and every other school, is negotiating for contracts with kids that won't be signed until December at the earliest. Nobody with a lick of sense throws all their cards on the table until it's time to sign.

I love what we're doing - getting kids who want to be Gators. And they've got plenty of stars too.

Who ended my ability to watch a Gator game in public by pissing and moaning about a bad play in the first quarter. And every other bad play for the entire game even when we're winning.

 

He’s a three star all the way and perfect for the Gators right now. He’ll be priceless in the QB room and a possible savior as a junior or senior when one of our future 5 star QB’s leaves early/gets injured/melts down mid-season.
