Wait a minute. I just watched UF beat bama at legion field on carpet with Emmitt setting a freshman record for total yards in a game. Galen was a very good coach.

Hall was one of the best recruiters UF ever had. Just ask Spurrier.

How many recruits do they have? If they have a few more than us..then that maybe the reason for fsu

Did she sleep through the '84 and '85 seasons? FWIW, I don't remember a college head coach as low-key as Galen. Whatever went on between him and the prospects he was recruiting was probably about trust. It sure wasn't about charisma.

My sister in law was a weird bird..if we didn't win every game..then she would go into a tantrum..and would replay every mistake and bad play over and over and over..it was awful going to games with her...she made fun of Galen's appearance

Getting Eugene Wilson will give this class a nice bump with his .9365 rating. I suspect Jordan Castell will be next. He has a .9187 rating. Down the line, I'm expecting McLain, Mizell, two out of Hall, Collins, Walker, LeBlanc and Norman, J. Jackson, and Jean or Sorey. That's one five star prospect 13 four star guys which would UF in or just outside of the top 10. No QB, then reaches at RB and LB would probably push UF back a few spots.

The portal will be very interesting this December when proven veterans find themselves stuck with leftovers for NIL deals, especially QBs.

Galen was a great OC for many years on some great Oklahoma teams. Knew how to run the ball and move the chains.

He was Joe Pa’s OC for years too and was very good.

To borrow a line from the movie Water Boy Galen Hall “was not what you would call a handsome man” but he was a genuinely nice guy, a very good coach, and a deceptively good athlete.
What the NCAA did to him should never have happened.
To many of us that were around then, the current problems being dropped on that corrupt organization garner absolutely no sympathy. It’s Karma at its glorious best.

I'm not expecting McClain. Not saying we don't get him but i'm not as sure as I was two months ago about him. I don't see us getting LeBlanc though

I liked him and felt he was treated unfair by the ncaa...like we were made an example of...Yeah I lived thru all that..stripping our SEC title after the fact was ridiculous and unfair..I think that is why I can't stand certain SEC schools cause they voted to have our title taken away..I always pull for them to lose

The NCAA came down on him for doing something really decent but illegal according to their standards.

Still in the 30's but by the end of the month we'll be close to the top 10 once EW3 pop tomorrow, Sorey hopefully at some point this month, and Ja'Keem Jackson on the 28th. Oh and John Walker too. If those 4 pop, i'm lying all throughout the summer
