But they had full ride offers to TCU, and probably a multitude of other schools, and could likely see a path to the field there. Why take the risk to come here as a PWO? Since we’re using TCU as an example, we’re not likely talking about kids who were huge Gator fans growing up and just want to come here.

I’m still not saying you shouldn’t try, just that it’s unlikely to happen on a regular basis. You're unlikely to round out the 105 with 20 players who have the talent to start at a TCU caliber program. We’re now down to talking about the type of talent we’re already bringing in on PWO’s now.

You also need someone to step up and actually do this. It would not be worth the effort to me to occasionally get a Chris Doering every 20 years. Who do you think is going to go through all the effort to set this up, and then fund it?

*Just curious, since you guys seem to think bama is just piling up talent this way. How many pwo’s do you think they keep on their roster? Do you think all of them are getting paid AND getting all of their books, school, housing, food, and an equivalent stipend paid for? How many of these pwo’s have seen any significant pt, if any?
