Except 2020 when we finished 7th, and also added 8 transfers including Cox, Shorter and Lingard.

True - Don’t think we ended up there when Brown and Manuel did not qualify. Of course Walker transferred out after a semester and turned out to be a bust. 5 other guys from that class already have transferred as well

We dropped right before that actually, with updates ranking that made a couple guys 3 stars, I think Whit and Stokes. Thornton's addition just wasn't enough to jump 11.
Saw some of the usual jokes about 247 screwing us.

Regrettably not really surprising, Stokes and Nease are having a rough year.

As I've said before, sometimes they like to make it obvious so recruits get the "hint"

Read both the Twitter posts in the post I quoted.

UGA flips a low ranked player, 3 days later he shoots up the ladder ranking wise. Makes UGA recruit class look even better than it already is. The historial trend is the opposite happening for UF.

UF commits go down, our rivals go up.

BTW, that shows the change in Composite rnkg. On their own 247 ranking is where they put the new ga commit at #13 RB and Webb right below at 14. Overall rnk from 305 to 239, Webb 210 to unranked. One had been rising before committing and then has been dropping, the other had been dropping for the last 17 updates before his commit and jump.

It really is run by petty unprofessionals that hate us and hope to influence recruits' decisions by making it obvious. Of course they do a decent job overall, don't do this with every recruit, and sometimes these changes don't affect overall rankings that much, but make no mistake, they're a-holes. I get it if Bama, these days, takes a low ranked kid OVER others, but that's not always the case, it doesn't apply to any top team, and it doesn't mean other teams don't evaluate well. Uga has missed on a legacy RB plus some others including Webb, a previous commit, and ended up with this guy, who could be good, but it's not the same.

SOS always wondered how GA always had the best players while recruiting but when we played WE had the best players.
