Harris and Whittemore are sure things?

 

While they may not be sure things, this place is a lark in the park right now compared to how it will feel if they commit elsewhere.

 

I'm having a hard time maintaining my recruiting enthusiasm these days.

 

We really won’t know for sure who we get until the ink has dried.

To the end it’ll be “sold to the highest bidder”.

This is true but also means that we (and any other team) is in it till they sign on the line as long as the team is willing to pay the $$$

 

Agreed, while we haven't landed any of our targets yet at least they're still on the market and haven't gone elsewhere. Harris is the one that would help change the narrative as he's an IMG kid with offers from A&M, Bama, Miami, Oklahoma, etc.,. All the CB's have him coming to UF so anything else would be a shocker.

 

I would think Whittemore is unless he wants to play QB. I suspect he'll be a wildcat QB from day-one if he comes to UF. More polished than Toney at the same stage and just as athletic. I'm astonished he's still a three-star. Let's see how he's ranked when track season is over.

 

Guessing those two will bump us up to around 35. Not bad since Bama's at #32.

 

Contracts take time and are prob somewhat binding. Teams and players have more incentive to get it right the first time.

 

A Harris commitment to UF would indicate that we're in the game with similarly valued prospects. Other OL targets might see some urgency to get their deals done.

 

Wondering if UCF is serious contender since his dad played there. It might be his best chance to play QB. Then again, it's rumored that he will play WR at Buchholtz this fall. Gotta think he'd want a chance to play with his brother for one season. Would be cool to see them both on the field at the same time.

 

Nice day with two 4 star verbal commits. Lovett is next to announce in mid-May I believe and then a few in June
