Honestly with so much time between now and ESD , take him if he wants in because we've all seen how recruiting and "Commitments" are these days and there us always the possibility of a decommit in the span so taking him would be like hedging our bets.
Our avg. rating took a hit but that’s to be expected. I’d rather have three star prospects that Billy and staff wanted than four star kids they didn’t pursue. I feel good about this staff’s ability to identify talent. I’m betting that rating goes up when the WR commits toll in along with one or two highly rated edge prospects.
Agreed StrangeGator. What’s equally impressive to me regarding the two 3* lineman that committed today is the list of offers they had from other schools.
Remember this is the class of 24. Several of the 4 stars might be 5's by the end of their HS senior season.
How can guys with the offer sheets we just got commits from be 3 stars? Don’t these sites consider the offer sheets?
i dont even care about stars like that. Let em stay underrated and then develop into solid players in college who eventually get drafted. That’s an great selling pitch
I figure some of it is based on not knowing and maybe late bloomers in size? Kinda remind me of that guy we got last year, Jackson maybe, that started as a nice 3 star, and before it's all said and done he's a mid 4 with offers from every school in the south. It's probably hard to judge these really big guys, especially if they are playing lower level HS ball and just throwing 180lb guards around. Haha
I don’t believe any of the obscure guys are actually scouted by the people ranking them. They do not know who these people really are.
I think you’re correct because Jones is favoring UGA now. I guess when Waller committed it all but shut Jones out. He waited too long.
