The title of the thread speaks for itself. Although of dubious of legality and I seriously doubt that many CIA officers and analysts will accept the offer, Elon Musk's masters in the Peoples Republic of China definitely approve.

Interesting factoid, every foreign corporation doing business in China is required to have a Chinese partner making it easier for the Chinese to steal technology. The one exception to that rule is Tesla. Anyone think there might be some type of quid pro quo?
Edit: Tesla very recently partnered with a Chinese battery maker.

I am not an attorney and do not know what is in the contracts signed by the CIA- but other than time frame for rebuilding I see no issue with "ASKING' CIA members if they want to leave

According to experts on the subject funds for the buyout offer and not just for CIA employees but for the Federal workforce as a whole would have to be appropriated by Congress and Congress has not done so. Not that Elon Musk really cares but the Federal government isn't like a private corporation in which the CEO has unfettered discretion. He still has to follow the law.

The problem is that according to a Wall Street Journal article (paywall) they would rather take the buyout rather than work under Trump. Of course there’s no problem offering but I’m understanding the other option is to face termination. The real problem comes from trying to find replacements. Florida teachers were offered the same deal as a cost cutting effort by getting rid of veteran teachers who have reached the top of the pay scale. Within two years they were sending out letters to those teachers asking them to come back for the same pay. They couldn’t find replacement for those teachers.

tell every last one of them that does not want to work under Trump, to not let the door hit them in the ass on the way out - it will take time to replace them but that is all part of it

So we’re going to pay thousands of CIA staffers tens of thousands of dollars, even six figures in a lot of cases, and bring in …who to do the work? Maybe the entire horde who stormed the capitol?

There are plenty of jobs for assassination, undermining democratic governments and regime change in the private sector

I'm sure most of them have elite language skills and knowledge of cultures.

Well, they already have experience in subverting elections, they seem especially qualified for the CIA

Not everyone can be Jack Ryan, you need your Oswalds and Liddys (i.e. cranks who will do crime)

Yeah, but even they rise above that drunken mob of rabble. I used to love Liddy's radio show. He's a blast. Especially when he goes on his animal-testing screeds.

You dont need that, I think LSU sports science alum and gas station heir Breck Chuddington IV will be able to infiltrate Iran with no problem
