I’d shoot my kid before I allowed them to be brainwashed in stupidity.

It’s a regrettably common occurrence. Same thing happened with the Virginia candidate sex thread.

Virginia Democrat candidate posted sex acts with husband online while soliciting tips

In each case, members of the group implicated note that finding one bad actor shouldn’t implicate the entire group. Yet, most of us seem to be exhibiting a form of fundamental attribution error: While we see the one problem child on our side as an exception to the rule, we see the single bad apple in their group as an accurate reflection of the entire group’s true inner nature. The same actions lead us to contradictory conclusions, depending on who committed them.

You won't read it here, but more kids are sexually abused in public schools compared to catholic schools. Yet we talk about Catholic churches like they are pedophile rings, but public schools get a pass.

That’s not what religion is for it all. God is not merely the answer for things we don’t understand. God is the answer for everything, whether we understand it or we don’t.

It didn't specifically mention mental illness either but you seemed to make a case for it earlier. I don't think you can have it both ways (it's not there but makes your point, it's not there so it doesn't make Tilly's point).

The real issue at hand is that there are unfortunately Christian's that add or subtract from the Gospel message. This isn't new and is exactly what a lot of Paul's writings are directed at.

There is also much proof that the events in the New Testament occurred, but you or someone else choose to believe there is no proof without doing any investigative work (or at least none that you have shared).

So you don’t count all Christian’s when it is convenient and count everyone when it’s convenient.

there is no proof that anything in the New Testament happened. That does nothing to prove or disprove god. 2000 years ago there isn’t much evidence of anything.

You’re not even the first person to make this point in this thread. Again, no shit Sherlock, there are wayyyyy more kids in public school than in the Catholic Church.

William James (paraphrase) - an unseen order in which our supreme interest lies in harmoniously adjusting ourselves to that order.
