Believing in Jesus isn’t a cure all.
HavingFAITH in God and his son is a whole different issue.
So when you can measure another man’s Faith let me know.
The Bible absolutely discusses mental/emotional issues and distress.
There are some people posting with little to zero knowledge of which they speak.

By what comes out of their lips and what they actually do. Here's an idea. Instead of dismissing a large portion of the people that exist around you, get to know some. Befriend some. See if any of them are actually living it.

Not sure where to find the Christians? Start at a food kitchen, homeless shelter, crisis center or a Habitat for Humanity build site. They are full of them every day.

But you will probably just keep reading too hot articles to solidify your opinion and thats a you problem.

According to Axlerod and Reynolds Encyclopedia of Wars, less than 6% of wars had ostensibly religious causes. And in the twentieth Century alone easily 100 million died by atheist regimes.

Funny thing is, SoHo thinks he is going to move to another country where these human problems dont exist.

    Good luck.

That seems like a lot of words to admit that the Bible actually doesn't specifically mention "depression and anxiety" diagnosis as you had previously claimed.

The reason the Bible doesn’t belabor diagnoses is because anxiety and depression aren’t diseases.

He/she just likes to flame throw. Pulls stuff out of their butt and act like it is peer reviewed scientific prof. If called in it he usually just claims you’re stupid or gets real quite real fast.

Neither does one’s professed belief in a God.

    Good we’ve come full circle.

the fact that you have to have faith/belief = god fail. No one has ever asked my kids if they believe in me.

I think you have hit on something there, if you are inclined to believe in things that aren’t provable, that opens the door to stepping outside of facts and reason. That’s not to say it can’t be done, there are many scientists who profess some degree of faith, but it takes an active partitioning which some people clearly can’t do.

I’ve always viewed from a similar but different angle. Republicans in recent decades tend to be much more religious, and one of the aspects of religion is following. You sit and listen to a preacher every Sunday, or more often than that. It happens so much you just accept it. As such, conservatives seem to have more interest in political pundits, AM radio hosts, Fox News personalities, social media pundits and conspiracy theorists and then ultimately Donald Trump. Between suspension of reality to support a supernatural belief, and a history of trusting and listening to church authority figures they become fair game for someone like Trump.

I think the differences, at least between Christians and all whites, are that whites tend not to identify themselves as a group. They also don't tend to act as though being white means inherently more moral than non-whites. At least most of us don't.

IIRC, the Bible says .... You will know them by their fruits. So, I guess - they act like it - such as Tilly describes and not act like that idiot talking about autism.

Relax, the pastor has been exonerated. God doesn’t make autism.
