It’s possible. And I don’t read the Bible as precluding medicinal help altogether. But cases like that are extremely rare and are sensationalized. And I’d venture that many, MANY more children are harmed or even killed when parents turn to healthcare for deliverance.

You can call yourself anything want.. especially in todays society, but that doesn’t make it true. TeChings of Christ are not confusing or mystwrious .Pretty easy in fact. Some humans just don’t want to understand it, for whatever reason. Greed, selfishness, lust. Whatever.. they aren’t Christ like, they aren’t trying to be Christ like this.. they aren’t Christians

I think the honest thing to say here was that there were mental illnesses that weren’t understood in biblical times. Those were attributed to demon possession. Isn’t that what religion is? Giving made up reasons for things people don’t understand.

It’s all part of his plan. You have to believe to understand.

I don’t think I have ever had discussion with two Christian’s whose beliefs were completely aligned.

It is certainly distasteful and even repulsive to hear someone say something like this, but people everyday shout their agreement with this pastor when they go get abortions because their baby has autism, down syndrome, or other similar conditions.

Yes it’s called a women making a choice about her body. I don’t agree with all women’s choices but I know it’s not any of my business.

All Spaghettians agree that a baby is part of a woman’s body. The conformity is mind-blowing.

If that is the case then how would you explain the person being healed immediately after Jesus called the demons out of the person. Then the demons went into a heard of pigs who killed themselves. The people of the village were terrified of this supposedly mentally ill person (which is why he was chained up) and they were then therefore scared of Jesus because he had overcome the demonized person.

The reason there was no mental illness in Jesus’ day is because it wasn’t invented for another 1,900 years.

The argument is true. If I spoke of gays like some speak of Christians because of a few gays doing something wrong, I would be called all sorts of things. If I spoke of a minority because of the evils of a few, in the same way some speak of Christians on this site, I would be ripped to shreds, (and rightfully so!)

So people who chose to take one obscure weirdo and extrapolate it out should be called out accordingly.

No group that has billions of members should be judged by 10, or, 20, or 50 or whatever number some rando website wants to highlight.

Pointing out peoples hypocrisy would be a full time job.
Good grief. This is pretty dumb even for the OP.

That's a lot of words to basically admit that there is no scripture that calls autism demon possession. Zero. Its a made up pile of crap from a false prophet that happens to fit the narrative that some want it to so they can disparage the group.
