... it's what Jesus would have wanted...

"You got to get to the point where you realize that when they smack you in the face you smack them back two times harder," Burns said, quoting Matthew 5:38-40, which reads, "If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also."

"Bible says the violent take it... and we take it by force," in reference to Matthew 11:12, which reads, "And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."

"We are here ready to take this nation back," said Burns during the event this week. "And I believe without a shadow of a doubt, the only man that God has anointed him...to be the next President of the United States of America and that is Donald [Trump]. That's why we got to declare war on this transgender agenda that tried to destroy our children's minds in the United States of America."

Out of the 330 million Americans, it's just baffling to think that Christians think there is only one person "chosen by god" to be the president ... and even more baffling that it's a sexual assaulting, cheating on all three of his wives, prolific lying, Epstein pal, who can't name a single bible verse ... what's wrong with Christians? I bet this guy got yuge cheers ...

This has nothing to do with actual Christianity. It’s just some cult that manipulates the teachings of Jesus for personal gain.

They'll never do it cause they'd cry like toddlers with skinned knees, but I'd yank the tax exempt status of that church so fast.

Well...he's wrong, and he should probably resign from being a pastor. [/Thread]

They believe just as fervently as you do that they are in the right and on the side of Christ. That’s the problem.

Same way I feel about your pastor. Probably doesn’t dissuade you in the least.

I wonder if they will invite him back to the RNC. Or if Trump will have him at his rallies as a pastor. What do you think?

Nope...it doesn't dissuade me in the least. I am not going to take any advice from you on pastors, and I fully acknowledge you would say the same about me. You and I don't worship the same God. We don't believe the same thing about God's commandments and who Christ is. We don't even agree on what Christ taught. So, of course you and I would disagree on pastors. You are free to go to a church to worship your God, and I won't be there. And I'm free to go to a church and worship my God, and I am fairly confident that you would not be there.

I don't know...Trump has an affinity for false teachers. So, I would not be surprised if Trump has him at a rally. It is cringe worthy that Trump would invite him to a rally, but that is probably what he will do.

Strange that. Could one say that those who follow him have a similar affinity?

Ok then please understand when you dismiss this pastor’s actions out of hand as decidedly “not Christian” just realize that most of us here that remain unaffiliated see absolutely zero difference between this pastor’s delusion and your own. You’re both certain you are right and everyone else is wrong when in reality you’re just slightly different shades of the same cloth. You have the same type of hate in your heart that you think is justified by your unerring faith. It’s amazing to me you can recognize it in this man but fail to see the same in yourself.

"Follow" is the operative word there. What is your definition of a follower of Trump? I have never once characterized myself as a "follower" of Trump, and that is for good reason. I have never met anyone who said they follow Trump in the sense that someone would say they follow Jesus.

despite JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS very gleefully in 2020, when he was indicted you ran to TH to scold the evil sinners & you scolded them/us as low character garbage IF anyone was JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS as to your Trumpy Bear's innocence or guilt.

You are welcome to have whatever beliefs you want about me. I'm not going to waste the couple of calories it takes for my fingertips to touch the keyboard or the time it takes to respond to you.
