Of course there have always been loons and fringes on both sides. The recent difference IMO is the scope and scale of it in the GOP; it goes right up to the leader of the party himself. Amazing to think that only 11 years ago, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were the Republican standard-bearers. Imagine Biden doing the equivalent of collaborating with Antifa prisoners and playing the songs at events.

There seems to be an implicit acknowledgment here not only that the number of White Nationalists is not de minimus but rather the number could be significant enough to tip the balance of power. That alone is telling given the efforts to downplay the White Nationalist movement as merely a handful of weirdos. I don't typically think comparisons with pre-WWII Germany are fair or helpful, but it's just too obvious here not to notice.

I think there are definitely benefits to staying away from Too Hot, or more specifically team-based politics, so if you guys are interested in those benefits, I’d very much support your hiatuses. Hiati? But I do think it’s worth reconsidering if the break is only due to some off handed post or to avoid interacting with the other side. The community functions better with both of your viewpoints represented.

But let me ask you, will you be willing to call out Biden for his collaborating when they prove what he did with Hunter?
They already have already showed the bank records of Hunter of the Chinese payments, they have shown where Joe's own address was used for wire transfers, if they subpoena bank records and have proof where Hunter and or other family members were paying the bills for Joe will that be enough?

 

I also have no real interest in chasing you off, just trying to prove the point that people were claiming not to know him when they clearly did in other contexts. I have no interests in upholding any bet and would not think of you in less of a way, since you did own up to it here. I think you got emotional and it backfired. Can happen to any of us and not interested in holding you to it or anything.

Thanks for your comment. I have no doubt Hunter was trying to profit from his status as the son of Joe Biden. I'm not clear about what's being alleged against Joe personally or what the evidence might ultimately be. I cannot imagine any hypothetical scenario under which Joe would be able to justify accepting secret money from China if that occurred. Not to mention the obvious national security implications, it also would have also necessitated Joe lying on his taxes and financial forms, etc. I read Turley testified last week that he is not aware of any evidence at this point which would support an actual article of impeachment, but they've just opened the formal inquiry so we'll see.

Yes, and I agree with what Turley said also. I have not seen the evidence and maybe there isn't any, but the belief is he never actually received payment that you could track, but had expenses paid for by the family. All that can be traced if they have the will to look for it. But we will see.
