Define getting ripped off. If you are including, as you should, charging less interest on a loan than you should have or taking a risk on a loan you might not otherwise have taken, the answer is a definite yes. In many instances the fraud occurs when the fraudulent document is transmitted with the intent the other party rely on it. Only the most ignorant as to criminal law would think otherwise.
