Chicago Alderman Tells Gangs to Bust Caps in Azzes Only at Night

The rating is accurate. I do wish I was able to pull off what you just did here. I reckon that’s how we end up with politicians like the ones who run Chicago. If only I could replicate it, I’d be in politics too.

 

The gangs are trying to observe the noise ordinances by doing their shooting and killing during the day, and here comes someone in authority trying to entrap them into breaking the law. That's piss-poor community outreach.

 

One minute @Orange_and_Bluke is waxing poetic about Southern Values...the next he's laughing at his fellow righty calling an 83-year old woman a bitch. Typical behavior from the usual contingent.

 

That person is gender neutral and has no identity... not a woman for sure.

 

I have no idea why a mother of young kids in Chicago's black neighborhood would vote for people that catch and release these gang-bangers right back into the streets after catching them with illegally obtained guns.

Maybe they should threaten to vote for someone that would take their illegally obtained guns away from them and sentence the killers to life in prison with no chance of parole instead of giving them a time in which to kill other people.

 

Funny thing is…you wouldn’t know a southern value even if 51 slapped you across the face with it.

 

He doesn’t have the courage to slap a man, he only slaps 83-year old women.

 

Why don’t you ask all of your black friends why they vote the way they do? I’m sure you have plenty of them. LOL.

 

After further reflection, I may have been unduly pessimistic in my earlier post, #23. While the alderman's suggestion to curb the deaths of innocents may seem quaintly naive, it is also a creative, outside-the-box contribution to the problem. Novel ideas aren't exactly thick on the ground, and should be encouraged.

 

While I don't think this would curb violence why is it a bad thing?
Wouldn't this almost ensure that the only ones getting shot are the bad guys?
If you are a good guy, get home by 9. Kind of a voluntary curfew.

 

Let's say folks on the right are correct that this is about Chicago politicos--and therefore about policy--what Chicago Dem specific policies and how are they responsible for gun violence?

Similarly, what Chicago policies were responsible for the greater than 70% reduction in violent and property crimes between 1991 and 2019 and do Chicago politicos get credit for it?
