Championships in professional sports are overrated.

Sports leagues lost competitiveness long ago as they became exclusive to the ultra-wealthy, who prioritize profits over winning (almost exclusively). They're more interested in poster boys that sell merch than building franchises. Some teams win in spite of this, but are quickly broken down and sold as parts.

Every dollar I spend for professional sports is just an investment in getting a 90-year-old man a lapdance from some girl named Candy or Roxy

Ok so I agree to an extent. So remove the rings argument from Jordan, why would he be considered the best? He wouldn’t be any stat, he isn’t the leader or anything, and his career wasn’t really even that long compared to others. You could say he was the most dominant but imo that’s SHAQ

You’re out of your ever loving mind on this one bro. I’m not going to get into a back & forth with you on this one. It’s that ridiculous.

It should be simple to explain if it’s so ridiculous. I could talk Jordan vs Lebron all day. Love it. The two situations they were put in make their careers not able to be directly compared without diving into a shit ton of context. And what I just laid out if some of it. You have no response to it? Lameeeeee

Go ahead and list the list of Hall of Famer’s or LeBron. It’s very long, and he had to move around to go chase his rings that he finally did get.

List of hall of famers that played with Lebron? That’s what you’re asking?

    Wade
    AD I guess
    Kyrie
    Old Ray Allen too ofc

And he had to leave his garbage franchise to play with any of them. Acting like Lebron is running from something or that it hurts him that he had to leave Cleveland to win a ring is comical. That organization was absolute trash, just look at the roster he had when he was 22 years old taking them to the finals against the spurs. Absolutely pathetic roster.

And obviously, today, the league is much more talented than Jordan’s era, he played in between two great eras. Jordans era is down talent wise compared to bird/magic era and the 2000s and on. It’s in between eras of greatness

There is not a single ring Jordan has that is on par with the 2016 ring. Jordan was the greatest team, Lebron beat the greatest team for a championship while leading the series in points rebounds assists steals and blocks- for both teams.

    Competitors retire three times? Interesting

Pistons beat “the greatest team” with regularity en route to 3 consecutive trips to the NBA Finals.

Well since this post is so far off topic, Lebron wouldn’t have been able to play back then when the NBA was a contact sport.

Your right. Jordan and LeBron is not a debate in my book. Mike’s the greatest. And the greatest competitor. Mike played sick, hurt, etc and you never heard anything from him.

He’s not as good. Are you old enough to have watched Jordan? I’m a Lakers fan by the way. I never rooted for Jordan but he was like no ther. I do think the 80s Lakers could take them though.

Ron harper played with Allen Iverson and michale Jordan. He was asked to compare the two and he laughed before apologizing for laughing and then praised Iversons game as much as he could. This was at his prime. Then he said the difference in Jordan and Iverson and others was how hard Jordan competed every single day including practice.

For people to dismiss any of Jordan's championships btw is ridiculous as well. First off the refs changed the 2016 series when they suspended Draymond green from the supposed "greatest team ever" giving Cleveland life.

2ndly, the "weakest" opponent the bulls played in their finals was the lakers. Portland Seattle Utah and Phoenix were all worthy opponents. Those bulls were like our back to back basketball Champs in that they answered any and every challenge regardless of their opponents makeup. Offensive juggernaut in Phoenix, defensive prowess of new york, Detroit, Seattle, etc twin towers of Indiana and their inside outside game with Miller Smits. They denied multiple hall of farmers titles. It's just ridiculous to bring down Jordan and the bulls in order to praise LeBron.

But he left again went to LA to play for Vogel and lue with arguably one of his worst supporting cast he's ever had. His decision making hasn't always been the greatest.
