No, but they shell out a lot of money for broadcasting rights. That alone gives them some major influence.

If the NCAA finds that Meatchicken broke the rules (spoiler alert; they did), they will have to vacate those wins and rule Meatchicken retroactively ineligible for the playoffs. The networks have no play in that and will have already made their money in any case. It’s not like anyone can unsee the games.

The NCAA will never find Michigan guilty, let alone vacate their wins and title.

They showed a coach and said “Coach X was acting head coach during Harbaughs suspension…” they didn’t mention anything about why that I remember

I don't either, although I didn't watch every play. But, I'll say one thing. It's surprising if they didn't, because ESPN usually starts with that kind of story and flashes back to it on every opportunity throughout the game. Wonder if the announcers were directed to avoid the story?

Well coached teams on both sides. In case you are wondering, Michigan recruiting ranked #20 in ‘23, #12 in ‘22, #13 in ‘21, #10 in ‘20, and #8 in ‘19.

I joked how long it's been since I had watched a full football game without an SEC team in it....

Washington as bad as they played had every chance to win that game. Just couldn't connect on passes when needed. They gave up 3 really huge running plays and got gashed, but besides that McCarthy until the last few possessions couldn't get anything going in the air. Penix was clearly banged up and just "off" -- probably because he was under so much pressure. Felt Washington needed to go away from Johnson, #7, he clearly was banged up and injured yet constantly tried to showcase him and it didnt' work.

This tells me that with coaching and player development you barely need to crack the top 20, in recruiting, to bully the big dogs.

M has is two damn good lines of scrimmage. An above average O and D line will compensate for lower rated skill players.

The one thing I noticed about Michigan from when they came out in the first quarter of Natty... The defense lined up in a 4-3 base DEFENSIVE SCHEME.

Fun Fact: Michigan has TWO 5 stars on its roster.
