And yet, some on here say we have to be world beaters and if that doesnt happen the HBC gets tanked. Prediction: CBN will be the head coach at the start of 2025 and not because we were world beaters!

Whatcha thinkin, another 5 wins then "wait til next year"?

Miami and UCF will be on par with FSU. Samford is a cupcake for a reason. I don't have the same belief that you do in DJU. He was 8-4 at OSU. I think he will be the same at FSU. Don't get me wrong, I hope we can get 8-4 out of Mertz and this squad.
I’m sure hoping so. I’m fairly certain we could with an ACC schedule. We could finish 7-5 and unranked yet still be a top 20 team in reality.

Thank you for this link. Just last night at dinner with friends I commented on the Gators having the toughest schedule and my wife laughed and said I was reading too much on Gator Country.
1-UGA 2-TX 3-Ole Miss 4-TN 5-LSU 6-Miami 7-ATM 8-FSU 9-KY 10-cowbell 11-UCF 12-Samford That’s how I see it
With the likes of Texas, uga, lsu, etc... f$u is down the list. Not even close to our toughest game this season. That doesn't mean the trip to tally will be a cupcake, but compared to those other foes......

Those freshmen and sophmores should reflect that in a couple years.[/QUOTE] Ill take a shot on what needs to happen....I think he needs 7 wins but mostly some of HIS hires have to start improving (which means GETTING BETTER) those aspects of the team that he hired them to improve. Our team cant look like the upside down dead turtle in the two minute offense down 7, we need to look better before half and utilize that valuable time for more than a 3 and out with our opponent getting another 3 or worse 7 before the half expires, we need to get 11 players on the field reliably, we need to attempt to get a 15 yard design for a 3rd and 14 play and concurrently for our 4th down play, special teams needs to at least block a punt or fg sometime in my lifetime and return a fielded ball the 45 yard line (oh without a hold on that play inside our own 10), we cant shoot ourselves in the foot rolling out two #3's, we have to have some timing and success calling a trick play (its not meant to fool our own players...but the opposing teams), we need to win some games late in the season after 0 wins in the last 10 games of the year...look he needs the wins but more importantly we need to look well coached and like we know what the hell we are doing....last two years its been a clown show like it or not. Look like a clown show this year and the decision is made.

We need two NFL receivers and maybe one more star player, preferably a superstar at some position. If we get that before the season starts I will be ready for a much improved record even with our stupendously difficult schedule.
He’ll, just give me six hall of famers while we are at it. Nelson, Youngblood, Pitts, The Freak, Hilliard, and Kevin Carter will do in a pinch though.Throw in Lomas Brown too, somebody gotta pick up the blitz. Mertz can handle the rest.
