"CEOs said that he was remarkably meandering, could not keep a straight thought, was all over the map…”

They left the meeting LESS LIKELY to support him.

And this is a guy promising to cut their taxes. Sad.

For a lot of super rich people I know, that's all they care about politically.

Interesting but my thought is those CEOS mist not be paying attention or perhaps they are consuming more right wing sources that are more forgiving of Trump. One only has to listen to him 5 minutes to know he isn’t “normal” by any stretch of the imagination.

It's nothing but cutting taxes. And not just personal rates, because they all have so much tied up in stock options and performance bases comp.

They'll still donate to him, senile or not, as will their companies. Corporations are people too!

I know that’s why this is kinda remarkable. Can’t sell a room full of billionaires on tax cuts…

Forget four years from now. Trump has lost it today! And at least Biden surrounds himself with competent people. Trump, on the other hand, had a revolving door of people who couldn't stand him, or are now convicted felons. Only ones left are the Trump true believers. A truly horrifying thought.

One only has to listen to him on the stump with an open mind to realize he's senile. More seriously, he's a mean-spirited, narcissistic sociopath who puts himself, not the country, first. Atzcat is right about Biden, who is about my age and no more senile than I am, at least surrounding himself with competent people.

I suspect none of the three most prominent candidates are really impressing anyone in one on one meetings.

Trump was crazy to start with and has clearly lost a step on top of that, Biden was never the sharpest tool in the shed in the first place and is also plainly well off his peak, and RFK Jr is nuts. None of those are real confidence inspiring.

Did he get into if any explanations of why it's better to die by choking on a dildo than being trampled by a dinosaur?

I thought it was the media at first but I think Trump really is slipping. I predict he doesn’t participate in the debates. Especially is RFK is included.

If Americans are smart (I know, I know) they would not let either of these three mental midgets speak. Ever. For as much as I rant against the Republicans, if Americans do not step up and prevent these three idiots from becoming president, we deserve EXACTLY everything that we get.

I know people will not believe this, but I have never voted for extreme left-wing politicians until this last presidential election because that is all we could do to stop Trump. Where in the hell is George W Bush or William Jefferson Clinton when you could really use them??

We failed during the primary season. Our only shot now is to identify congress men and women, as well as Senators who will stifle whomever wins the White House at every turn and start planning now to do better in 2028.

He may not have been their original choice in the Republican primaries and they may think he's a senile sociopath but as long as they can get lower taxes and less regulation under a Trump Administration the overwhelming majority of them will still support him primarily by large donations through dark money entities like Super PACs.

My grandmother and mother were both beset with senility in their final years. But even in their moments of senility, I don’t remember them talking about abolishing the IRS.
