I don't want to believe he came back for NIL money, so I will choose to believe he came back for the love of being a Gator. Big CC fan now. At least we will be competitive next year and get Golden starting out on the right foot.
Most players improve each season, and I expect our returnees to be improved. You could see Reeves and Lane improving considerably the last third of the season. We still need another piece or two.
Just imagine if CC improves even more, plus Reeves turns into a star. JJ was coming into his own as well. Id love to see a physically imposing twin towers lineup just once.
Based on how they were used last year, kinda hard to know what the younger players can do. Hopefully each will make the normal class progression jump from being in the program. I also hope they don’t play as timid as they did under Mike. I place a lot on how they performed with the scheme and Mike’s approach to coaching. He had a kinda Roy Williams approach when it came to giving young guys minutes. I’m optimistic that there’s more talent there than we saw last year.
Sorry, off topic: What's Santa Fe like? I really want to get out there and maybe move out that way one day.
I don't want to answer for him, but New Mexico is special. The mountains aren't as dramatic as those in Colorado, and there aren't the awe-inspiring canyons of Arizona, but there's something magical about the wide opens, the pinions, and the colors up in the Santa Fe area.
If the Roy Williams Approach means cheating while accusing Billy Donovan of cheating, then no thanks.
