Can we still go to a bowl ?

I choose to think of it as the Lord's mercy.

 

I am surprised UF’s APR is so low, but they might make it. As of November 19 there were 68 bowl eligible teams for 82 spots.

 

I think 11 5 win teams got their 6th win this week. Add in the two D1 transition teams and I beleive there is 1 slot left.

 

Also both Army and Navy have 5 wins so that might be the final spot. Not sure how that works since it is after the bowl selection. (DEC 9)

Neither Army or Navy get a shot as the bowls are set up the week before..kinda stinks for them.

Minnesota is the only 5-7 team that makes a bowl.

 

Both Minnesota and Miss. St. have better APR’s. Unless something completely unforeseen happens we are not going to a Bowl.
Extra practice can be beneficial, but we have so many issues to focus on, in this particular case I think that not going allows us to hone in on those… recruiting, coaching changes and portal possibilities particularly.

No as I clearly said, in this particular case I think there are other issues we need to focus on more.

Honestly why would you even want to go to a bowl at this point? It's time to get ready for next season and get over this year's embarrassment

 

right. We saw this staff blow off the bowl game last year. Why would this year be any different? Also, a lowly bowl game against an opponent that will be inspired to be able to beat us is not what I want to see. Get started on 2024 NOW

Napier has shown his process of coach, staff, portal analysis is super long and time consuming. He needs to be diving into whatever coaching and staffing changes are going to occur along with getting portal Evals, recruiting visits, portal offers, etc done.

if he was prepping for a bowl…we’d probably miss out on coaching candidates along with portal players.

 

If we wanted to go to a bowl game then we should have beat Arkansas in a very winnable game at home.

 

Are there any bowls where you just have to play a half? Maybe we could get Red Robin to sponsor a round robin game with 4 teams each playing a quarter against each other. I think we might have a chance there!

Honestly I would rather call it a season and regroup for next year.

Don't think I can stomach watching these immature undisciplined kids make stupid childish mistakes in another game.

I'd like a break from that for a while.

We gave that game away last night. Started with that ridiculous end-around fiasco right after the safety. The rest was all really bad mental blunders.

The spit was unforgivable!!
Geez, if that wasn't a microcosm of what made up this team for this year I can't imagine anything else could be?

 

Have to assume so. We will have our answer if no staff changes are made.
