Cam was probably going to get kicked out and he needed a change of scenery.

He busted his ass off and it all worked out for him.

For whatever reason it didn’t work out at UF. He isn’t the first and won’t be the last that needs new scenery.

He's proof that a person can bounce back from making dumb mistakes. We've seen plenty of talented young men who transferred/got booted from top football programs and it began their downward spiral where they continued getting into trouble and ended up in jail or dead. Cam learned from his mistakes (cheating on schoolwork and the stolen lapton snafu aren't admirable actions, but hey, at least he didn't kill people), motivated himself to become a better football player and went on to become a Heisman winner, a national champion and enjoy a long successful NFL career. Love to see it!

Successful at sports and at life. That’s no one else’s fault, his own hard work and dedication got him that. Yup.

He’s been successful at sports. He has been blessed physically and I’m sure has worked hard.
Successful at life is a subjective term. He still has a lot of life to live and so far he hasn’t shown any signs of being a great asset for humanity now or in the future that I’m aware of.
Put him on a pedestal if you like. Your prerogative. I’ll choose my hero’s from another ilk.

Yeah I’ve seen some of the modern day figures some of you put on a pedestal and valiantly defend, I think I’ll stick to the Cam Newtons of the world.

Yeah I put a guy who spends his time holding football camps to help out the youth on a pedestal. Shame on me!
