People gave us no passes when we had several key players missing over the years including our last games of the season last year. A win is a win. I don't care how many excuses someone makes for another team with personnel losses. Not going to acknowledge that double standard.

Barnes ain't chopped liver. He's a RS junior who played a bit last year. On his career at Utah, he's 65%, 430 yds, 5TDs/2Ints. Utah will rally around him.

Just reporting the stats and saying he's not chopped liver. Feel free to parse the stats out or provide an enlightened analysis. To your point, though, against Ohio St he was 2-for-2 for 23 yds, 1TD and no Ints. It's not much to go on, but again he ain't chopped liver.

 

Sure. He's only had significant time in 2 games:

vs WSU: 17/27 for 175, 1/0
vs PSU: 10/19 for 112, 1/1

Certainly not fear-inspiring.

 

I don’t know who’s talking fear, but we finished last year 6-7 and Utah won 10 games and their conference — so we need to respect them and take nothing for granted. Not only tomorrow, but every freaking game we play regardless of their depth chart

 

I feel like we are going to ground and pound them to death with the run game and Graham will be an efficient “game manager”. I think a lot depends on what the defense does and I think we could be scary good up front. Still worry about linebackers and safeties a bit but but I feel like we might have a more balanced and talented team than we are going to credit for until after tomorrow night.

 

Great point and even without Rising that’s a very good team.

 

To run we will have to utilize backs out of the backfield in the passing game. High percentage completions will help open the run game. Gotta keep backers thinking. When they are thinking go straight ahead/ downhill, we got problems.

 

When week four of the season gets here and people are looking at records, the fact Rising was out will be an afterthought.
