Never compared him to Beal, never compared him to anyone, just said he was the best non-post prospect out there, I guess it's just official since you've proclaimed him a stud. Don't think I called you a name either, just making a statement that someone so close to basketball seems a little late to a realization.
I agree with you Tampa. He definitely looked special to me when I watched his highlight videos a few weeks ago. I just don't want to get my hopes up.
Well in that game vs the team from Arkansas, they lose by one after starting to jack up ill advised 3 pointers at the end of the game while giving up layups on the other end. Kugel looks to be superbly talented. Aberdeen needs to work on that jumper - hardly any rotation on his shot.
Two things that jump off of both of those videos in regards to Kugels game is his defensive play and his passing ability. He seems to have an uncanny ability to jump in front of a pass with a quick stride and either intercept the pass or deflect it. Also, I was impressed with that sidearm pass that he threaded the needle with assisting on several dunks. Kid plays with his head up always looking for the open man to pass to.
Good vision, absolutely fearless, finishes smoothly with either hand. It helps having a center like Udeh to pass it in to
I kept trying to watch #2 in white, but James kept demanding my attention too. Impressed with him as well.
People keep talking about needing another point guard, but both Aberdeen and Kugel look to me like they can do fine at the point. We need Kugel.
Olympia’s point guard, Edgerrin Jizzle James Jr. He’s the reason they competed with Dr Phillips, even stealing a win in the game Udeh didn’t play. 2023 so he’s got another year, allegedly likes the Gators
Jizzle James Jr. (Edgerrin James Sr.'s son)-he was wearing #1 for Olympia on that first video you showed. He's class of '23- top 60 or so player in the country. I think he's a little underrated at this point.
Jizzle James's recruitment has been kind of quiet so far. Florida was working him as hard as anyone, and Pastrana was lead on the that one. We'll have a tough time getting him away from Georgia if Coach wants him, and I don't see why he wouldn't. Sons of Pro Athletes have worked out real well in the past for Florida Basketball.
Thanks @tampajack1 . . . I'm not finished yet but agree with @GatorLegend and add that Kugel's shots (I've seen) were smooth and his range is even farther back. Impressive so far.
I was trying to figure out who was named James in the North Little Rock game. I forgot about the Olympia game.
