Biden won California by over 5 million votes in 2020. Think California is worried about adding new D voters to the rolls?

This is about healthcare, and lowering the cost curve. California has one of the largest percentage with coverage, and their average Healthcare costs have been rising less than the national average the last few years. Undocumented adults represent California's largest uninsured group.

California is a shithole that, despite its massive influx of illegal immigrants each year, manages to lose population. Given said native resident outflow, you bet your ass California democrats are replenishing their voting bloc by whatever means necessary.

Biden won by 5 million votes in California. The net population loss is less than 50k (37k last year). Assuming 100% of the population loss were all Ds, it would v take over 100 years to make up the difference. And I live in Arizona, which intakes plenty of Californians. I can assure you not every moving moving out of state is a D.

Okay. You got me. Politicians don’t pander. Not sure what I was thinking.

Given that illegal immigrants can't vote, is the thought that illegal immigrants will become citizens in the future or that they're already illegally voting in significant numbers?

If the migrants have kids born in the US, they are citizens. And will be able to register to vote when they turn 18. I'm hopeful, one day, DREAMers will get citizenship. That's about 800,000 or so, spread across the country. Any Gang of 8 plan would likely require years before any current undocumented immigrant had the ability to vote.

And again, it's not like CA is in any danger of turning red. Biden won about 66% of the votes, and plenty of R residents in places like Orange County have been moving to Arizona for years, because they can sell their cardboard box of a house for half a million, and buy a 2,500 ft. house for similar money in a Phoenix suburb. If the 37k net loss for CA follows the 2:1 D to R ratio, that's only a net loss of just over 12k D voters in the state.

And yes, all politicians pander. But this is about healthcare, and lowering the cost curve. In general, the more people insured, the more people have access to preventative care, and costs don't rise as fast as they do in places with higher uninsured rates. With Medi-CAL, one of the, if not the highest population in the state with no medical insurance are undocumented immigrants. The hope is to help pay for their insurance, which would ultimately bend the cost curve down. Just like what Obamacare did for the country.

It’s not my job to teach you how this works. I’ll give you a hint. Many illegals upon crossing the border almost immediately gravitate towards family members already established in the U.S.

And somehow that is an indication that they're voting illegally?

More people going to the emergency room rather than their doctor, just what they need!!! That will definitely help the bend the curve, the direction is the debate though.
