Are they readying for the olympics? Otherwise, what the heck is Giannis doing playing summer ball?

Nick has got an NBA body. It is interesting how it takes plenty of folks to hit their middle-upper 20s to FINALLY get to where they want to be athletically.

He is a national hero in Greece. I got a lot of free ouzo talking to the owner of a place to eat in Korfu because I was a Gator basketball fan that knew of Nick. Many shots were shared.

He is doing just fine without being in the NBA.

Thanks for the travel tip! When I visit Greece I'll be sure to let the bars and restaurants know I'm a Gator, and almost best friends with Nick (even though we've never met).

Back to the vid... that is an awesome pass, and a very difficult one in that kind of traffic.

He is playing on the Greek team in Eurobasket 2022. it is the European basketball championships with all best teams in Europe with their NBA stars such as Jokic, Doncic, Giannis and Gobert competing.

Interesting. Maybe it's just me, but given his salary in the NBA (which I'm just guessing is north of 20mil), I'd think he might rest up and train for the upcoming season. I mean the salary is probably guaranteed, but why risk injury?

I don't know what that has to do with my suggestion, but . . . whatever.

Man… I hate Ouzo. When people offered me a shot I would take them to be nice but after a few years of living overseas I got to the point where I’d have no problem turning it down. But yeah it’s pretty much tradition to take a shot of Ouzo after a meal at the Greek restaurants overseas.

As a Milwaukee Buck fan, I'd like Giannis to be wrapped in bubble wrap and locked in a Wisconsin basement for the offseason. But, he likes playing for Greece with his two brothers when he can, so it is what it is.

He did have an offseason this year with Bucks losing in the 2nd round so it's not so bad. The issue is this tournament is rolling into the start of camp, but he's gonna get some time off. A "Tom Brady break" in the middle of it, lol.

It's been a few years since he played for Greece. They weren't in the Olympics and he hasn't had much success with Greece's national team. A lot of their older players and even the coaches had resentment for the young Greek Freak walking through the door as Greece's savior. He also wasn't quite skilled enough for the international game when he was younger. Other teams built the wall deference, it flustered him.

Now though the players and coaches love him. Greece is the co-betting favorite to win it because of Giannis. Greece probably doesn't make the 16-team field without him. He's more skilled and has adopted to the international game. He's killin' it. As amazing as it seems, he's still a developing player. It's been a good experience for him.

Honestly Calathes has kinda been garbage in this Eurobasket. He's made a few nice assists but his inability to shoot from range has hamstrung Greece a bit.

Hope he's ready for this Euroleague season playing for Fener with Wilbekin!

Nick has the beard and bald head working to perfection now.

    Haven't the Ukranians suffered enough?
