Is a position coach from WKU good enough for UF? Everybody starts from somewhere. Bateman's product on the field was truly underwhelming if he was a good teacher as a veteran coach. There may have been a disconnect with him and Raymond, and Chaos' results from a deep talented group was underwhelming. Hill was greatly improved this year, and I believe coached by AA. Big change was needed for players to keep faith.
He was on our staff previously so wouldn't just be a rando from WKU. Anyone inclined to cry about getting hires from lower level schools will do so regardless, despite the failure of guys like Raymond.
We tried an experienced guy with no tangible results, as I believe Cheney is likely to be just as good of a recruiter and not likely to immediately bolt like Bateman was expected to do, making Hrahams outrageous seem a bit strange. So I wouldn't be against this per se, but CBN's results from coaches he knows has been spotty. Edit: Grahams ourage
Western Kentucky is his first on field coaching position as LB coach. Had been an Analyst at UF and MIss State prior to that. Young and inexperienced.
