Percy was a big part of the running game. It really stressed a defense

    See my post...
How did Percy help us win the 08 SECCG again?? Our memories aren't so good sometimes...
I mean all of Gator nation- not just you.
And if we could be 08 Bama without Percy, then why couldn't we beat them in 09 without him?

    Could it be the OC??

Yeah, I don't know why we didn't win the SEC last year with our ASU transfer WR being our only draft pick. Mind boggling.

Napier wouldn't even know how to use Percy. he would have ran end-arounds and screens.

get your best offensive players the ball. move them around, make it difficult on the defense.

So, would the never ending defending and excusing be (NFS) Napier Fallatiate Syndrome?

Even without Percy, we were still considerably far ahead of Alabama in talent and cohesiveness in 2008. It was only Saban's 2nd season at Bama. By 2009, Saban had his system fully installed. His defense was stacked and we simply could not move the ball on the ground against them.

You can answer that about yourself. You and your genius alter ego are still fact creating 'facts' about his hot seat.. Are you going on record really that you're sure that Stricklin is going to fire CBN before the 2025 season. If you have any shred of REAL evidence to counter Stricklin's letter than please share.
Look, just admit that you and your buddies are frustrated old men who can't accept the fact that control over CBN is out of the hands of anyone on this board. Deal with reality.

Good coaches tend to miraculously turn out more draft picks than bad coaches do. Believe or not, NFL scouts view player development almost as importantly as they do raw talent. Similarly, there are a few players Zook recruited that leveled up under Meyer before being drafted. The same happened with Steve.

Not sure if this is in any reference to me, but I am under no illusions I have control over CBN's destiny at UF. If I was, he'd be gone already.

If I'm following your analogy correctly, UF football is a 4th grade girl playing teenage SEC programs? Is that an acceptable level of expectations at UF, to expect to get whipped by clearly superior conference teams? No, of course not, it's year 3, if the roster is 4th graders that is because of the coach.

Cignetti, using the same analogy, has beat the crap out of every one else in elementary school. Yet, this board will fill up with "see, I told you so" when they get beat by the high schooler. Of course if it were BN it would be "Well we can't beat a team that much more talent."

Everything else is speculation, Cignetti is beating those Big 10 teams with a lot of Sun Belt transfers too BTW.

Our offense with Emory did a number on Saban. A few weeks of film and he was easy to stop. That 09 team without Percy was much easier to handle. Percy and the 08 offense was a pick your poison thing. 09 may have turned out diffent had he been there.

I haven't said anything recently about his hot seat. I am resigned to SS being delusional that giving Napier more talent is the answer. UF is simply never going to out talent top tier SEC teams, the only path to championships is a coach that maximizes the talent he has. Napier at no point has shown to be able to do that. Being that as it may I will continue to remind people that what BN has done at UF is not and never should be acceptable.

We beat Bama in 08 but it was closer than it would have been if we had Percy. Points didn't come easy that game. 09 was a combination of our own conservative coaching though along with Bama getting better. Percy was a cheat code and maybe adazio would have used him but considering how tight urban coached and how uncreative adazios playcalling was I'm not sure.

Point being 2009 was a little of our own poor coaching along with the loss of Mr 10 yards a touch.

Please fire Billy and hire Cignetti. I’d like to see him on a one year deal, less than he’s making now, school option to retain, million dollar buyout if the school opts to retain and he wants to leave anyway. He can have an extra mill if he brings us a trophy.

Is someone going around turning everything into "Napier is awesome?" We don't need syndromes for characters you made up in your head.

I'm confused, because Percy didn't play against Bama in '08 due to an injury.
