Whoever it is, they arent great. Still have to have great players for a great oc to shine. We will have a frw holes that need filling. I forget that our receiving tight end took a redshirt but DJ doesnt seem to use them much. I wonder if he will as he develops but he seems to favor his longer patterns.

This whole Cignetti thing is a pipe dream. If UF boosters made the decision to oust Napier it was made with someone in mind before Cignetti’s emergence and I don’t believe he’s gonna leave a team he built up so well after one year.

He is currently ranked the 15th highest paid HC in the B1G at $4.25mil per year. I would imagine Indiana will drastically change that after the season. If he gets a new contract for something like double that over 5-6yrs, he should take it and stay at Indiana. He clearly more than deserves that. He and his family would be set up in great shape then. At 63 Indiana is probably a better place for him quality wise vs one of the SEC meat grinders. Just my 2 cents.

Hard for me to read the current situation behind the scenes, but i actually don’t think it’s crazy to give Napier a little more rope based on what we’ve seen the last several weeks.

I don’t care how bad Georgia looked. The team has looked better the last several weeks than it has his entire tenure here. If Lagway is healthy the whole game, we may very well win.

There was a switch in this team at some point this season where they woke up. Hard to pinpoint exactly when that was. But given the lack of clear options available (I wouldn’t even say Kiffin is a sure thing even if we managed to pull that off), it’s not crazy to wait and see where this newfound momentum takes us.

But Billy needs to recruit. That’s his only path to winning big here.

Arguably, this would be it for CBN, and a mid-season canning in 2025 should be on the table. SS hopefully is shown the door at the end of the season or wisely is mentored out...bc I dont see how he survives another losing season.

It was pretty clear that the "wake up" was after the first bye week. I said it before, perhaps in this thread, that I was pretty confident that the team had "bought in" and that it certainly might be that way for the whole season. I also did say that that should have happened at the end of year one, or perhaps early-mid year 2. I'm still confident that we'll see that the rest of the season, granted it might not look as good considering our injuries. We'll definitely know if we revert back to the "old ways" injuries or not...

IMO, the jury is still out on whether or not CBN has gotten over his coaching "issues". I've really liked the way he's coached the last 2 games. Was this because of DJ, or did CBN have a shift in his game day coaching attitude (or was it both?). That's what I'm going to be focusing on these last 4 games. That field goal at the end of the 1st half of the UGA game was definitely not the norm for him. He shows me more of that, and I'll start climbing back on the bandwagon even more, wins/losses be damned.

One other thing I'll be looking at is the FSU game. It's not that he just has to win that game, he needs to DESTROY FSU!!! We don't get too many opportunities to be able to humiliate FSU, especially at their house. I don't want to see any mercy against those clowns. If we're up 28-0 at the half and we win 31-3, I'll still be mad! (kind of :D). What I'm saying in a way is that a total beat down of FSU will help him A LOT with perception, and I hope he realized this.
