Graham was intentionally injured by a Blobby's dirty crew in a game that was always scheduled to be the final one of the regular season. Graham was healthy when 9/11 interrupted play in 2001, so timing of playing UT was definitely a factor.

I was addressing Fulmer’s old claims that his teams always got better as the season progressed and that playing the game later would have negated our dominance of them. I wasn’t referencing the 2001 game in particular.

But to your point, Mickey Andrew’s and Darnell Dockett were and still are scum. Hell, Mickey was a dirty coach when he was with us.

Of course our team typically got better as the season progressed too. We’ve typically been slow out of the gate — the big reason I hate opening the season with a big game. Starting with 2 cupcakes before opening the SEC season against Tennessee always worked well for us under the two best coaches we’ve ever had.

Is that a short list of coaches who have achieved more than Napier at the P5 level and a first year head coach I had never even heard of before?

Not what I asked. Muschamp brought a lights out D, Mullen a good offense, McElwain left enough talent for Mullen to take it to the next level. If Napier was subject to McElwain's era, he would also be leaving a good roster, but the portal makes that a huge question mark.

Some schools (AD’s ? ) make changes quicker than others.
Sunday UCF fired their defensive coordinator and Gus has “given up” play calling duties.

    Cignetti interviewed 5:00 minutes in

sounds similar to Billy except 22 or so mins in…. “in todays game with the portal you gotta win now. No more 4-5 years to build”

“ I took a huge paycut to take a small school head coaching job, at the time I had two daughters wanting to go to med school. “.
    That takes confidence imo.

Norvell has higher odds of being fired than Billy according to the betting sites. Seems wild with that buyout but they have expectations

Unfortunately, just finding better than Napier is a low bar.

Higher odds of needing to be fired seems true. Do they know fsu's financial position? Seems like a tough decision for fsu. Which is less costly, paying the x million or loss in revenue attributable to Norvell? It takes quite a lot of revenue to equal the $10 million per year remaining he would be owed.

Mike Norvell contract: Details of Florida State head coach's buyout

As much as Norvell might want to be a winning coach and is being embarrassed this season, he has to feel pretty good about the extension and guarantees right now.

FSU remains as the only team in FBS to not score 21 points in a game this year.

    In my head--- UF

    ha
someone wanted my short list of coaches worse than the current gator coach

I have another 7–10 but you get the picture. Would you take any of those coaches right this moment?

Don't know who that is but it wasn't me. I wouldn't take any of those coaches but the first 3 could figure out how to be .500 at UF, which would be an upgrade. Foster is 7 games into his HC career, perhaps he deserves at least a little more time before final judgments are made.

So, I answered your qurstion, now answer mine.
