It very well could be. I wouldn't be surprised if we see it return to form this weekend at UT with DJ on the sidelines... You never know though!
No sense bellyaching about it now. The guy has had this team ready to play the last few weeks. Could have beat Georgia with half their talent and depth. Let's see if he can bring in a decent recruiting class? Sick and tired of seeing the same teams (Georgia) getting the top classes!!!!!!!!
Not to spread a rumor… but to spread a rumor, there’s some chatter about Todd Golden getting fired for cause and Stricklin dragging his feet which may put him in hot water. I know this isn’t a basketball board, but anyone else hearing this?
Why are mods locking all the Napier discussion threads? This is not done by a mile. Hasn’t anyone paid attention to all the times that ADs have given the proverbial vote of confidence only to see a few weeks later the coach get fired? Things like this tend to change quickly. The boosters will make the final decision regardless what Stricklin says. We could easily get blown out in our next few games and be back to square one. I don’t necessarily want Billy fired but if he can’t reverse recruiting, it’s over anyway.
The defense has seen major improvements the last few weeks. I agree that DJ is special, but don’t think he made the defense better.
If he keeps going like he is right now through the end of this season, he will probably get offered more than double that and possibly by teams with Waze and means to have a much bigger Nil bank Any better chance to actually winning national championship. The question is does he want to take it easy and make seven or $8 million a year with no pressure or does he really want to win.
Why is having a team ready to play considered an achievement? Little Billy packed his own lunch for school, give him a trophy, nevermind he later got his ass kicked by a bully who took his lunch.
If they got that money together together, and we're thinking of firing him several weeks ago I do not believe Cig was the guy But I think the guy will for a ton of money and a chance to a national championships if that's his desire. If it were me, I would sit right there and make six or $8 million a year for the next five or six years. Who am I kidding? I would work one year and quit.
Because seemingly a significant portion of the fan base is content with mediocre at best. Today's compromise is tomorrow's standard.
Kinda like savin Satan saying he is not going to be the coach of Alabama. When you're talking about the paycheck from your current employer, you say a lot of weird shit.
How does SS put out the Napier statement knowing Golden has this news today? Im praying it’s fake but if it’s real we need to burn down the UAA, football and basketball.
