Intriguing for sure, but our current experiment is kinda similar and I doubt we will go down that path again.
They don't charge for that because they haven't figured out how to charge for something they claim they didn't do.
I know Brian Johnson flamed out in Philadelphia, but I think there’s a ton of problems in Philadelphia that we’re not attributed to him. I love Brian Johnson’s offense, leadership skills, the ability to articulate a message to a program… He has ties with UF, obviously I want Lane, I’ve wanted Lane of the last couple of coaching cycles but I think there’s a pretty good chance that doesn’t pony up 13 or 14 million for him and/or he turns us down just to troll us so if that ends up being the case, I don’t think we need to limit our search to “successful head coaches “as it’s been stated on multiple threads. I think the criteria for the next coach needs to be- Can you run a high scoring, up tempo, offense that attracts talent, and the kids wanna play in, do you want to recruit, are you adaptable and willing to Make changes and higher coordinators that have also been successful and give them the ability to do their job. I think Brian Johnson makes a lot of sense. I also think Jamey Chadwell makes sense. I know there is some that say we don’t need another protect - we need an established winner but I’m not sure we are in a position to attract that. I think the criteria needs to be about what your product on the field looks like and can that work in the sec. It’s what Tennesee did in hiring Heupel And Midd with Lane and Mizz with drink I also look at our roster and say “imagine this roster with _____” as our coach and see a much better outcome. The problem here had been scheme and development and adaptability NOT talent. Billy had upgraded the roster. Look no further than all of the transfers succeeding ay other programs now. It’s Billy, he’s bogged down in analytics and process and the game is not fun for the players. The next coach will come in and win 10 immediately with this roster if there is tempo and urgency and fun.
Any idea why the Weiner thread was locked? I was looking forward to an entertaining discussion on that one. BTW, will it EVER stop raining?
Well, it turns out the pool guy has some info -- he said while Kiffin was drinking a fuzzy navel pool side, that he was on the phone with his mother, and his mom said she used to love skeeters.
Apparently UF is Kiffin’s dream job. His dad passed away and his mom lives in Florida. Can anyone confirm?
I cannot confirm the mom’s location, but an attorney friend who knows some power guys said he heard UF was his dream job. So he will commit to Tennessee again next week!
If we have any intention of landing Joey Freshwater we’d better be all over him right now — the way things are going in Tallahassee those assholes could scoop him up and based upon past behavior he might just love doing that to us
Norvell has a $65M buy out and I don’t believe for one second that their boosters are willing to pony up that much immediately following a 13-1 season.
