Sorry my post should have said #17. Not sure why I typed #11 and that was their rank in the AP and coaches.
**Thread Title Update** I was going to hold out for game week to begin, but I think you are right. A bit of optimism has crept in for anyone holding out hope for Billy, but the next two weeks will probably bury that.
Year 3 we should not suffer 3 (or more) blowouts. We have 2 already. Beating a terrible fsu should be a given. Beating 1 of the other 3 and not getting blown out is my marker for having any conversation about BN staying (beat 2 and definitely talking). Problem is this is year three and he needs to show progress, not promise process. Competing with top teams is the mark, beating uk is not, and losing a winnable game vs UT due to coaching (in year 3) ain’t helping. Rooting for Billy to take the red pill, but dubious.
We have 5 pretty easy wins. Our schedule has morphed into super easy (Samford, FSU, Ms St), really easy (UK, UCF), Hard (Miami, TAMU, Miss, LSU, Tenn), and really hard (UGA, Texas). We are trending right in the middle. For me Billy in Y3 needs to get us to be a team comparative to the “hard” category. Given we are already 0-3 vs that group he needs to go 3-2 the rest of the way (2-2 vs real teams)
We're not reading the same book! The only easy win we've had was Samford. Miss St and pUKe were not easy by any stretch, but they only got comfortable late. f$u will likely fall into the same category and slUT should have been the same.
Kentucky, UCF, Ms St, and FSU are literally at the bottom of their conference or right next to the bottom. Bad teams occasionally beat good teams so I’m not taking it for granted. Its not a huge accomplishment to beat the worst teams in P5

UK came within a point of beating UGA and beat top ten ranked Ole Miss and the savior, Kiffin, in Oxford.
