Using the talent profile as the metric it's not even close. Our best win would be akin to their victory over Charlotte.
Agreed, but it's been that way for awhile in this forum. Maybe it has something to do with losing and some folks can't accept contrarian points of view.
Its.......Indiana. This isn't the first weak schedule they have played but it is the first time they've been 6 and 0 since 1967. Context has to mean something. If they tank the rest of the season then maybe that matters but anything short of full meltdown is damn impressive for a one year turnaround.
Third time in 30 years they've gotten to 7 wins in a season. If they go 50/50 over the last 6 games, they will have 10 wins, which has never been done at Indiana.
No consideration for having to split practice reps for those previous games? In the only 2 games in which he was THE guy, he is 2-0 averaging 46.5 ppg. Yes one was Samford. I think it is at least worth factoring into the equation.
We just had our best game of the season — what motivates you to go back and search for things to criticize in games over a month ago? This is ridiculous behavior.
I honestly think you just make shit up. Billy is owed 85% of his remaining contract. Please tell me where I’m wrong or please just be quiet. Billy is owed 85% If you fire him now you pay 85% of the remainder. If you fire him after the season you pay him this season and 85% of the remainder. Firing him now actually saves 15% over the course of this season. Do you have anything legit to say or are you just going to resort to personal attacks?
Of the keyboard candidates, I’m surprised Lashleee isn’t getting more play. He’s proven himself at SMU, even with the move up to a Power conference. His offenses are really fun.
Obviously I don’t know what level of influence anyone here has, I do know mine is nil. I suspect that applies for most here. We may or may not think 6-6 is worthy of Napiers retention, but that won’t be decided by us of lesser influence. That said this is a board for discussion, as such it should be open for a divergence of thoughts. My “opinion” is that at 6-6 Napier is retained. I don’t particularly agree with that mindset, but reading between the lines I sense (don’t know) that is the case. I’ve been to every home game and the UT game, and the team, from my strictly fan point of view continues to play hard , and is improving… to a large degree because of the maturing of younger players. I’d say the chances of winning 6 is 30/70 right now. If that happens we’ll see what the decision is by those that make such decisions. Regardless, if I’m blessed with another year, I’ll still be cheering for the Gators next year… regardless of who the coach is.
