You sure repeat yourself a bunch. All while still dodging the original question. Please name those coaches. Either you want to win on the big stage or you are ok with 7-6 seasons with a nice guy at the helm. If so go find someone for 2 million a year if those are the expectations.
He used a lot of the words CBN uses: plan, process, accountability, etc…. That said, I believe he’d be my first call.
You are way to focused on the board of trustees and the "character" thing....I'm not a big Lane fan but the roadblocks you see don't exist in reality
Your first call would be to a retirement age dude who did well at JMU and has beaten some nobodies at Indiana? Interesting...
I just finished watching the GNFP breakdown of the offense, and I think that even with a top 5 OL, we would still be at a disadvantage against most the teams we play. Napier’s offensive scheme does the players no favors. It requires perfect execution, which is difficult when the defense knows exactly what you are going to run most of the time based on formation and tendencies. The scheme also doesn’t attempt to stress the opposing defense, but is more we run what we run no matter what your weakness is and if you stop it, it means we didn’t execute it properly. We kept running pass plays against the best UT DB without any consideration of trying to target a weaker DB. We have enough talent to be much better than we are showing on offense. Just like on defense, I think a change in philosophy would light a fire under them and we would see improvement. Next week will give us an indication of how the rest of the season will play out. Will the defense continue its improved play and will the offense show improvement.
The BOT is the governing body of a college or university. They oversee everything and nothing gets done without their approval. Period. Exclamation!
probably was a little hyperbole in my statement so I’ll try to clean it up a little. He’s not far down the list. And while I’m not sure he’d leave after one year, he is one of the better I think we’d have a chance at. The age isn’t a concern.
LOl, thanks for the explanation of the board. Now, if you want to really understand power players in this process, then glance at the name on the indoor practice facility and the name on our new baseball stadium.....a name that also pays for a HUGE % of UF's NIL . Period. Exclamation!
Retirement age? Just because he is 63? I'm not sure HR would approve of that language....... 63 is the new 43, that's what i tell my wife anyway......
We can have all the opinions we want, but when somebody spends that kind of money, they get to decide how they do it
