You are moving forward driving with the rearview mirror. What part of the last 6 games warrants 8-4 yearly?

Right? 6-6 would be more accurate a prediction based on available information.

Simple math is not an agenda. By your last 6 games statement, 3 wins 3 loses = .500 winning %. .500 * 12 games = 6 wins 6 loses. But don't let facts cloud your beliefs, you do you.

Typical run to w/L as the arbiter. DJ had how many games under his belt in game 3 who was on the field then vs now? Dont forget QB1 lost to SEI, TW hasnt played, lost QB1a last game his return TBD, defense creating TOs yet never has the team quit. If they continue to play with similar enthusiasm that is real growth not quantifiable in W/L alone.

The last six games showed real growth on the field with a still youngish roster. We are beginning to consistently look like they are able to compete with the contenders. Will the talent infusion/maturity overcome coaching issues, unknown. That is the question not past performance when tangible improvement is being witnessed.

Simple math has nothing to do with football games and the schedules that teams play

One thing for sure is that just because you have a bunch of money and you're in charge, that does not mean you know your ass from the hole in the ground

Nobody thinks Napier is a better Gameday coach than Mullen. That's pretty much common knowledge. Dan Mullen is a jackass for all ages though.

Napier is no elite play color but he could probably beat everybody on Indiana's schedule. Compare them with the cupcakes that we had and we kick those guys' asses.

Are you purposefully being obtuse? That was not DJ Lagway and this defense has come a long way. We should've beat Tennessee at our coach called some better plays. I also believe there's a very good chance we would've beaten Georgia had DJ been playing. I'm pretty confident in saying that DJ is better than Merz.

We have never lost a game that Lagway started and finished? But you always say some dumb shit.

Part of the problem with the recruiting class is all the "Coach Napier is gonna be fired" "CBN is on the hot seat" negative recruiting christmas for our rivals. All of this of which has been said by every talking head but not from those who actually do the firing.

I personally wouldn't mind giving it one more year before we hit the reset button, clean house and start all over again, just to find out that not every coach will have the team "back" in 3 years or less. Some do a fantastic job turning around a team, so many different mitigating circumstances for each, but kudos to them, most don't face the gauntlet of teams we do. Not an excuse but what I seen the second half of this season is we've played 2 top 10 teams down to the wire and had opportunities to win the games.

What I'm seeing is a team that's 100% bought in to playing for CBN. I seen ZERO quit on the field from our guys. Last game was a legitimate "next man up " game and our guys just kept bringing it.

We were expected to win 4 games or less depending on what talking head you follow. We've won 4 games and lost 4 games played. We have 3 straight losing seasons and are unranked but now we're supposed to obliterate expectations and run these top 10 teams out of the stadium or we're not up to snuff? Gotcha

I like cignetti but they haven't played a team with a winning record yet. .500 was the best so far, we'll know more in the coming weeks as they managed to play all the bottom ranked big10 teams. again I like what Cignetti is doing, like how his team looks, don't like that he will be 64 years old by the time the next season starts, and don't know how he'll fare vs the SEC since the Big10 is still top heavy with OSU, Penn St & Oregon and he has yet to play any of the top 5 teams.in the conference and his out of conference schedule is beyond laughable.

You're really not giving enough credit for what Indiana is doing ....as Indiana. It also doesn't matter If they don't beat OSU as long as it isn't a Sh!+$how. Indiana has played weak schedule plenty of years but they haven't won all their games let alone in convincing fashion. It's an impressive coaching job. They lost to these same teams last year. Just saying. Napier struggled against Charlotte last year. Maybe a qb like DJ along with a defense with a pulse like we have exhibited recently wins all those games against Indianas schedule but nothing he has shown so far supports that.

Really? Isn't it the basis for the entire process of who gets to conference championships, goes to playoffs, earns bowl game appearances? Strength of schedule is math based on the records of the teams played. Math is in football more than ever, it's called analytics.

The fact you have to ask yourself that question should cause all sorts of alarm bells. Like the tornado sirens that get tested at 10am on the first Tuesday of every month by me.

W/L is the arbiter of everything in CFB, why wouldn't I use it? Example: Everyone makes fun of FSU for using the ass backwards logic that they won a NC for being undefeated in the regular season when they got smoked vs UGA. Then turn around and tell me the record doesn't matter, we look better. Which one is it, are we what our record says we are and FSU didn't win shit, or do we look better and FSU is a Champion who got cheated by the committee? One is objective, the other subjective.
