His show was cancelled after 30 years. Good run.

You do seem to enjoy the misfortune of others, doncha?

They cancelled his show probably based on ratings. Contrary to the implication in the title of the thread he wasn't "fired" based on some type of impropriety and I still wouldn't be surprised if he makes occasional appearances on CNN or another network as a part time talking head.

Are you sad your favorite show is over? I'm pretty sad Better Call Saul is over.

Would you be so giddy if a "biased conservative hypocrite" was cancelled? Say Tucker?

I was actually a little disappointed by the finale. It was a bit of a fizzle in my opinion. Was hoping for something a little more in line with Breaking Bad given how the episode prior to the finale set things up.

I think it ended how it had to. I was glad it wasn't a "going out in a blaze of glory" finale.

When he chose to rob the guy with cancer I think it sealed his fate with viewers. He had to go down. He damn near Saul'd his way out of the unthinkable sentence but just didn't have it in him to screw over Kim. I can't really envision a different way to end it without any justice being doled out.

I liked the finale. To see the transformation of Jimmy to Saul to Gene to Saul to Jimmy was rewarding. I would have been disappointed if it ended with violence. It was always a character study.

I'm bummed there's no more Albuquerque based dramas in the works. BB and BCS was TV at its best.

In ref to your spoiler, if you recall he didn't have to add that component.

He got a bit greedy with the whole "Blue Bell" thing. He had already "Saul'd his way out of it" without throwing Kim under the bus. I was hoping for either a "go out in a suicide by cop" or a "bad guy gets away" ending.

EDIT: For those interested, the new "Interview with the Vampire" series is being produced by Mark Johnson (BB & BCS) and showrun by Rolin Jones (FNL)

I would have no clue who gets hired/fired on CNN or what their ratings are if it weren't for the righties on Too Hot giving me regular updates.

I loved that he Saul'd himself into the light sentence because his creativity is so damn entertaining but I am also happy with his last minute reversal.

It occurred to me the even in his final noble act to help Kim he harmed Howard's wife by denying her grounds for a civil suit. That's so in-line with Jimmy's long history of hurting innocent people, intentionally or not.

    Bravo Gould and Gilligan.

This is really really really really big news. I’m changing my party registration to Republican and am now all in on MAGA! This show being canceled has shaken me.

I think they got it right, he got what was coming to him, but there was a little bit of redemption for Jimmy

The few times I tuned into Stelter (or rather when I tuned into CNN and there happened to be Stelter), he was too much of a motormouth for my liking. For a prime example of a motormouth, ever watched Joel O'Steen? I think he may be a robot. He just stands there with a grin and words pour out of his mouth in a steady stream, without a pause or any reference to a note, for an entire broadcast. It can't be from memory. I don't know where it's from. It's so weird it makes my skin crawl. In fact it's unholy. They need to bring in a priest for an exorcism.

I thought they’d be happier that Rachel Maddow is only on Monday nights now.
