Great QB back in the day, but what a scumbag!

 

Why? Dude probably got enough money from just Wrangler jeans to set his grandchildren up for life. I just don’t get it.

He was one of my favorite QBs to watch back as a youngster, I used to love his free-wheeling, gunslinger style. I was rooting for him to make the Super Bowl when he played later on for the Vikings. What a scumbag he's turned out to be.

Still a long shot since it's Mississippi but old Tate could have a tough reelection opponent in a distant relative of Elvis's. This kind of notoriety won't help Gov Tate.

 

The problem is the whole Mississippi (R) govt is in on it and pervasively corrupt. So unless the feds come down on them (possible if Farve didn’t report this income) I’m not sure anyone is getting locked up.

 

I'm sure the governor (current and prior) will skate, but a couple of officials have already pled guilty.

It would be nice to see media and voters really focus some outrage towards the massive, systemic fraud outlined here. Favre is a total scumbag but he didn't do this alone and he didn't take part in Oklahoma and elsewhere in their examples.

Taxation isn't necessarily theft but misappropriation of taxes is. We are way too comfortable with this stuff happening.

 

Someone with Favre’s notoriety suffering the lawful consequences of this scumbag scheme might actually be a pretty good deterrent.

Hard to believe he hasn’t been charged with anything yet. This makes the case of Will Wade caught on tape offering to pay a kid to play at LSU seem difficult to prove.

Loved Favre’s on field gunslinger mentality, never liked his off field personality once Glanville cut him loose after partying his entire rookie year in Atlanta. He’s an entitled (rhymes with trick). Same guy who sent Dick pics to a reporter while his wife was being treated for cancer. Just all around a bad dude.
