I guess he was referring to my post, to which you responded, when I called Mullen the clown prince of Gator Land. Other than that, I haven't got a clue - or any apologies for a silly jab at a at Mullen that wouldn't make an old maid blush. Sheesh...

The defensive roster had to be a dumpster fire based on the prior years, regardless of how many stars. Even if the coaching had definite issues, it was also by far Granthams worst defense, that points to talent issue.

Everything about it was broken. You don’t go from “historically bad” to great defense overnight. That being said, Napier didn’t do a great job plugging holes this year. It’s basically a wasted year as I suspect we will still be young and “still rebuilding” next year on D too. The recruiting looks solid enough (on paper), but to really change the D we would probably need to hit on some difference makers through the portal too.

I found his post funny (hence the laughing with tears emoji) the way he tied in asking how Abraham Lincoln’s wife enjoyed the play despite her husband being assassinated. It fit what he was saying perfectly.

So you chose to ignore someone’s resume.

How does that go when you hire someone?

So you ignore UT’s for the last 15 years because they are having a great season?
Facts, which you chose to ignore is UT has sucked for 15 years. As bad as we were under Champ, Mac and Mullen we lost to them once.

I will say one thing you’re a pro at throwing insults…

Why because he thinks you should completely ignore a coaches history/resume and only focus on what they have done today?

Sorry that what most AD’s look at when they are making their short list.

In my experience, you don't get fired because you made a mistake or had some misfortune.

You get fired because your superiors come to the conclusion that you can't fix it.

Mullen essentially quit on the job. He just did it in a way to insure he got his $12 million buyout.

Resume looks good. Dude brought a program on probation or whatever to a championship team. You’re a hater for whatever reason, but I ain’t falling for it.

No, because every single damn post out of you is running down our team and coaches. You go out of your way to be negative in every discussion on every topic, sometimes rattling off 5 or 6 unanswered posts. Never even a remotely positive take - always negative. So it’s laughable because you aren’t even a good troll. You fool nobody. Don’t know what team you like and I don’t care - but it damn sure isn’t the Florida Gators

We're talking about this season, year 2 under Heupel in which they look great. You posts are constant harping on our team, year 1 under Napier. If I type much slower as you used to insult another poster for questioning your posts, will you then understand?

Yeah. People really do forget the offensive struggle under Meyer in 05. Granted they had a much better record but the offense drew a lot of criticism the first one and a half years. Frankly, I wonder how bad it would have been had we not gotten Tebow and Harvin who while not playing a ton of snaps provided some really key moments in moving the offense in multiple games that could have gone either way the following year.

He took a lot of criticism from people who clammed up once everything played out. The difference then was the amount of social media. I imagine it could have gotten ugly had 2005 occurred during a time where twitter, 24/7 sports and direct interaction from fans and players existed. Point is.....nothing definitive should be assumed at this point. It is so freaking early in the new staffs regime...

    ^ this

Ron Zook’s last team led the conference in points and yards and (I believe) most offensive categories with Leak as QB.

then all the sudden “this Mountain West guy” who had no business being in the SEC had a dismal offense. That option crap will never work in the SEC.
